That wasn't a scraper, it was a brush.
Buy very good winter gear, stuff that will last and is high quality. Coat, boots, snow pants, gloves, hat, socks, face mask. Carhartt is a good work brand.
Buy a nice brush and ice scraper something that can extend to about 45” something like this: 50 inch extendable ice scraper don’t buy a small shitty $5 or $10 one, you’ll thank me later.
Heating in a gas car works by getting the hot air from the motor. You can tell when the car is going to put out hot air by the temperature gauge on your dash when the gauge is not showing cold then the engine is warm and so is your air. Then you can turn the fan up higher. I see many people blasting their fan when there car is cold not understanding that nothing is happening until the engine gets warm.
4wd doesn’t mean shit if you drive terribly. If you loose traction it doesn’t matter how many wheels you have. So be cautious when driving and maybe watch some videos on snow driving. It’s not hard but it’s also scary when you slide on ice and don’t know what to do.
Always clean your boots/shoes off before going into anywhere. Just common courtesy. Clean them off before going into a store preferably outside. Or when getting into a car.
Driving will take longer. Just account for that.
Keep some blankets in the trunk. Might come in handy.
