I've got a drill with interchangeable heads and a large, 20v battery. Impact for removal, clutch for install. I can drop every panel on both wings of a 767, then put them all back in with the same battery. The disadvantage is the drill is a little bit heavy.
You may want to consider the Black & Decker Matrix set. I have had it for about 2 years and use it for pretty much everything. The best part is you can get the other attachments (jig saw, router, sander, circular saw, etc.) for about $30 each. I've built a deck, a laundry, and a salon room using it. The 20v Max battery delivers great power and lasts a while, but the charger that comes with it is shit (only .5mAh and takes hours to charge), although they have one that claims to get you 80% in 20 min. Overall I've been very happy with this set and don't hesitate recommending it for anyone who will be a casual user. http://www.amazon.com/Black-Decker-BDCDMT120-Lithium-Ion-Cordless/dp/B009VK6G8U
Also Sears has a craftsman version of that's called snap on, I think. I believe they are interchangeable with the matrix attachments as well.
I think he's specifically talking about this black and Decker stuff that looks really gimmicky to me https://www.amazon.com/Black-Decker-BDCDMT120-Lithium-Ion-Cordless/dp/B009VK6G8U

I used to have an older Black & Decker Multi-Tool that allowed the attachment of other tools (a small circular saw, a sander, a router, a jig saw).
No Black and Decker tools are going to be something a contractor will want to bring to a job site. But, for a person just getting into power tools and DIY, it was great. I learned a lot and didn't have much invested in the set. Black & Decker is now offering a similar tool called The Matrix. It is a 20V Lithium-Ion tool. The model I had was only 12V and I rarely felt the need for more power.
Amazon Link. Walmart also carries it so you can check it out in person. That is the tool I would buy a beginning DIYer. Check out youtube reviews of it too.
