Unless your home depot has guys waiting outside to help I would personally buy a cheap jigsaw like this one and make it yourself.
I feel like if you tried to hire a carpenter the cost would be above the price of the tool.

I got a Black and decker jigsaw for $30 from amazon and it's been awesome, check out the reviews.
