I and my employees use my jigsaw almost daily, and after having bought several different saws (including a very expensive dewalt) I have found no better saw than my $32 black and decker. I particularly like how easy it is to see what I'm cutting. As someone who usually only purchases BIFL tools, I can't recommend highly enough. I made one of these hallow books as a kid. It takes a little while to cut out the pages and I've always wondered if there was a faster way. I recently tried using a jigsaw but it royally messed up the pages even though I had them clamped down with c-clamps.
Anybody have any ideas how to (successfully) speed up this process?
I got this one for about $30 a couple of years ago, and it's been solid: http://www.amazon.com/Black-Decker-Select-Orbital-Jigsaw/dp/B001JJD0Y4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage
Looks like it's no longer available, but this other model would likely work for you: http://www.amazon.com/BLACK-DECKER-BDEJS600C-5-0-Amp-Jig/dp/B00OJ72LHK/ref=dp_ob_title_hi
