For gambling - the easiest thing to sit at for a while without losing too much are the penny slots. The waitresses don't come around there as often to get drinks for people, though (unless you let them know they'll get a couple dollars from ya each time). Blackjack is probably the easiest table game to learn if you want to hang out at a table for a while. The casinos sell these cards that tell you exactly what to do in any situation. You just pick the number you have on one side and the number the dealer is showing on the other and where the lines cross shows you whether to hit, stand, double, or split. You're allowed to have the cheat sheet cards in front of you while you play... and if you ask the dealer "What does the book say I'm supposed to do?" they'll just give you an honest answer that matches the card.

Don't play 6:5 if you can help it. Ask the dealer about signals, because it might vary even between the same brand casino.
