Change up your soaps. Our skins react to different stuff. Try to use this soap called African black soap by Shea moisture. I tried 10 different ones and then found that and it’s helped a lot. Also for ingrowns use this once ever other day https://www.amazon.com/Attendant-Ingrown-Eliminating-Between-Sessions/dp/B000Z65BDU
It helps out big time. Lay off the moisturizers for 2 weeks and switch up your shampoo as well as it will rinse off your head and can cause breakouts on your neck and beard if it has an ingredient you’re sensitive too. But don’t pick at it, I’ve done that and it can leave patches and scaring.
I am actually on my second jar of Bliss Ingrown Eliminating Pads, and as long as I'm using them consistently and I'm exfoliating in the shower, I don't have problems with ingrowns any more. It uses salicylic and glycolic acids, not sure the percentages though.
