okay i can’t help you with the material of this post, but may i recommend you look into a Blissbury pillow? I just got one and it is sooo much better than travel pillows! and the holes completely fit my ears so its really comfy to sleep on both sides again

Hiyya! Apparently aspirin is a mixed bag, since it can increase bleeding, but decrease swelling. I guess it depends on your body! I’d say get some ear savers for your masking going forwards to help it not catch on that flat (cute AF btw!), and if you want a better option than a travel pillow there’s this I can’t say much about daith pain, as mine never really hurt, but try not to pay attention to it if you can. Go read a book, play some games or watch a show to keep your mind away from it ✌️

It’s true it can take a lot longer than you’d expect for lobe piercings to heal - it’s all down to you and your body. Remember - a piercing is basically an implant, no matter how inconsequential the initial piercing seems. Generally they say 3+ months to be ‘safe’ for lobes but your body might really drag its metaphorical feet in the healing process. Also if you feel like splurging on a “piercing pillow” there are cool ones on amazon that are real pillows with a hole in them for people who’ve had surgery. The one I’ve been eyeballing is from a brand called Blissbury - I’m so tempted but I recently bought a new pillow!

I second the pillow with a hole. Not sure what your budget is, but this has been doing wonders for me. I sleep so much better with this thing!

Not the cheapest and still an investment, but after using a travel pillow for a while I just wanted something for the long haul! It's been amazing, I have healed lobes and conch as well as fresh helix, faux rook and flat. I found even sleeping on healed piercings were uncomfortable on a regular pillow. This pillow has a removable flat foam if you need the pillow height to be lowered.

Here is a good piercing pillow that I found, if you are looking for a premade comfortable one. Otherwise, make sure the piercings are done with a hollow needle and titanium jewelry, LITHA, use saline spray 1-2x per day, shower, and never ever touch it (even when cleaning; qtips are your enemy). By avoiding movement, you avoid irritation and damage. This should greatly reduce the pain that you have to little to none.

If you're still having trouble I've been using this Blissbury Ear pillow and it is epic. Comfier than any pillow I've tried and protects my ear. I'll probably keep using it to sleep with when the pain goes away too haha
