The stock pictures make them look more compact to my uncalibrated eyeball, but yeah, I guess that someone swapped the dies and didn't realize.
Polish routine is: Dremel, Felt wheel & Blue Magic Metal Polish. I had use use an empty box to polish them in because the dremel throws the polish in every direction. I also had to use a mask because believe it or not, the ammonia from the polish actually triggered my allergies.
I used this product from amazon (honestly i just picked one semi randomly when I couldn't find the same brand I was told to use), It worked just fine. As for the dremel bit, I used the white fuzzy round thing you probably get in every dremel kit you've ever seen.
As for “elbow grease” I’ve been using the following:

Nice for touch up. But I’m interested in taking some pieces that have been bead-blasted, or machine finished and giving them a mirror finish. In some cases, like bead-blasting, that may mean removing quite a bit of surface material. Thus the tumbling idea. Thanks!
Super simple. Just get a microfiber cloth or old rag or whatever, some non-abrasive metal polish like Flitz or, I like to use this stuff Apply polish to cloth and just scrub until it is all shiny and sexy. Alternatively, you can use a dremel with a buffing attachment, but I really enjoy polishing by hand.
That's all there is to it, other than taking a toothpick and getting into the grip serrations to scrape out the years of accumilated Isreali soldier finger crud.
> One quick note on the metal polish as what I wrote is kind of misleading. You can use paint polish products on metal, but not the other way around. Dont use metal polish on paint haha.
Just to add more on this too. Metal can take more abrasive polishes too. So, while you can use any polish as a filler... It is recommended to get a metal polish because it will mean less time having to work it and dealing with polishing the metal since it will work better. I recommend Blue Magic and 0000 Steel Wool and a crap MF. Those 3 things have never found a metal job they can't tackle.
Interesting. And even if there is no coating, a chemical stripper wouldn't harm the metal, right? Thanks for the info. Is there anything wrong with using this instead of Brasso and then leaving it on?

I think it was Blue Magic 400
I use this:
Blue Magic 400 7Oz Mtl Polish Cream

Then, if it’s a metal that I want to hold off tarnish, I follow the polish with this:
Renaissance Micro-Crystalline Wax Polish (65 ml)
I use this:
Blue Magic 400 7Oz Mtl Polish Cream

Metal polish works well for this. I use this stuff on my car's exhaust. Careful not to get it on the trim.

I use this on my broadsword and avoid touching the blade with your hands as much as possible. Sweat causes rust. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000BO8Z9I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_9tFwFb48VMR2M

I know a polish like that serves no practical use but they sure do look purdy!
Here is the polish & the felt wheels, I also had to pick up the chuck just to make is easy.
Wow, 79% 5-star reviews on Amazon. That is impressive. Thanks for the recommendation. I wonder if Blue Magic works just as well?

Seems like a similar product.
So a degreaser would be like Simple Green? And then metal polish would be something like this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BO8Z9I
And you put the metal polish on the buffing wheel and use a tool like an angle grinder?
