The treats I give for training is kibble mixed with some hotdogs so the kibble would smell like hotdogs. High value treats can be plain boiled chicken, jerky, blueberries, or egg.
I use the bag recommend amount (4 cups a day) for the amount of food I give her a day. I include my training treats (the kibble mix) for total food a day. So if I give her 1 cup of kibble during training, she'd only get 3 cups of food during meal times.
