I feel like it'd be SO much better than vaseline- I think that would make everything goopy and wet. I have pretty sensitive skin, and I always use this with no problems. Plus the tube is deodorant-like and small enough to toss in a bag and reapply if it starts bothering you again! I've used it on places where itchy hems hit me and haven't had to reapply even after a full day though.
You should try an anti-chafing stick..it looks like a container of deodorant, and you just glide it across areas that will rub together. Works really good, here's a link to the one a lot of people use, for $10 on Amazon(also at sporting goods stores)
What?? I get this one that's twice the size of the $7 in at the store for $10 on Amazon: Body Glide
I don't know how I ended up with reddit suggesting me to this sub but try this Body Glide Original Anti-Chafe Balm. It's a tad waxy feeling for about an hour when you first put it on but I don't notice it after that.
Redness probably only added to the comic for comedic effect but - incase anyone out there has issues with rubbing / chafing while running, Body Glide works wonders!
First of all congratulations on your mileage that's awesome. I use a great product called Body Glide which helps with chafing. I hope it's helpful for you. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00288L2N6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_PRD3Q68KMRKZXES9Q6FT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
This is not an affiliate link. I broke it so youll have to fix it . Its called BodyGlide. The pink one for women is the same damn thing, so dont spend any more for the dame product.

It'll just take practice. I think it's best to start wearing them places where you'll have a limited time period of standing. That can help you ease into them. If you have to stand or walk a ton at work, a full 8 hours will take time to build up to. If you have days where you know you'll be sitting at your desk or in meetings most of the day, then those would be the days to try.
I also highly, HIGHLY recommend getting a stick of Body Glide (that's an amazon link, but it's also sold at Dicks sporting goods and most running and biking stores), and put that on your feet before you put the heels on. It's an anti-friction stick that glides on like a clear deoderant. I've been using it for years with tons of different style and makes of heels. It hasn't stained any of my shoes and makes them loads more comfortable to wear because you won't get any of the red marks or blisters than can happen. (Also, it's great if you have any inner thigh chub rub or bra bands/straps that chafe at all.)
I used to chafe a lot when I was running. Not while wearing any protection but just due to the fabrics. I bought some product that is sort of like petroleum jelly or lube or something. It really helped.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00288L2N6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fab_x9PBFb9FP88SN it was like that one. I would guess that the one you can find at your local supermarket is going to be just as good.
I work at a place like this too, and people are pretty chill in my town about this kind of thing, I suppose I’m lucky.
Also, in reference to ‘waiter ass’ : here you go, champ. Feel Better.
my all time favorite product to use at festival has to be Body Glide
im a big dude so doing all the walking that you do at EDC i tend to get chafed up. this stuff works wonders, apply it before you leave your room (or tent) and it last all night long. keeps your inner thighs nice and lubed up. and it washes off in the shower.
Seconded, anything where you're going to be walking/moving for extended periods of time like this, you're going to get chafing and then it's no fun. I use this stuff and it works really well, it seems expensive but it is so worth it, and it doesn't make marks on clothes. Also use it on your feet, blisters are no fun either.
I use this. When you get a chance, get fitted for a new bra and see if that helps! Congrats on the weight loss!
There's also products like BodyGlide that are highly recommended for that purpose, if you don't like smearing vaseline on your chest. It's good for ANY chafing actually. I use it for my thighs when I wear shorts or dresses.
Also - I didn't say congrats for finishing so early in the program! WHOOP.
In a pinch, deodorant on your thighs. They make products for this.

There are 3 sizes, largest is $17, the teeny one is travel size ... the one in the middle is like $11.
I can't even go outside in Austin unless I use this:
Chafing is a natural occurrence in skimboarding due to the sand involved and not doing it every week.
The solution isn't necessarily better shorts, but products to alleviate friction. You can just use good ol vaseline or try purpose built products that resist water better such as: https://www.amazon.com/Body-Glide-Original-Anti-Chafe-1-5oz/dp/B00288L2N6/
That said, cheap boardshorts definitely don't help. You need shorts that are thin and use 4 way stretch material. If you grab the shorts and pull and they don't stretch... They are not quality surfing shorts. Here is a standard example: https://www.amazon.com/ONEILL-Resistant-Hyperfreak-Stretch-Boardshorts/dp/B081DD61GT/
Many days I literally don't even wear shorts, I just wear a wetsuit bottom and call it a day, this also reduces chafing by being skin tight neoprene so it stays put. Example: https://www.amazon.com/ONeill-Premium-Skins-Shorts-Medium/dp/B002X35BD8/
Availability for kids can be an issue. I exclusively buy boardshorts at Ross Dress for Less, or the equivalent discount store in your area. Can't guarantee you'll find those sizes so the internet may be the best route in those regards. But again, you can damn near make cotton shorts work with a proper anti chafing product. So start with that, THEN try different shorts.
I use BodyGlide. It comes in a roll-on like deodorant. I use it before every run. Outside of that, boxer briefs made of synthetic sweat-wicking material is nice. I like these from New Balance.
Body glide might be worth trying. It’s a long shot, since it’s kind of waxy and it probably has a lot of ingredients and it sounds like you are generally sensitive and trying to eliminate as many compounds as possible, but I’ve found it useful for prevention. It’s for marathon runners and athletes to avoid chafing, where baby powder doesn’t stay on long enough. It’s totally invisible. amazon
I also really like this tape amazon you can apply it anywhere that is rubbing, and it stops rubbing completely but is really easy to peel off without causing more irritation. Like a physical barrier to friction. If you aren’t worried about people seeing it, I think it’s the best way to reduce friction. I shower and do my topical stuff, then after it dries I slap on a square or three of these, and take it off the next day before I shower.
Laser hair removal is also a thing, I’ve had a lot less trouble with my bikini since I did. Not 100% but it def helped (it doesn’t work on white hairs, wish I’d gone in earlier). I think it was the growing hairs poking out, and just my fussing with it too much. When there’s nothing to shave, there’s no stubble either. It cost me 600 US$ for the groin, I think pits is less. It does hurt, but it’s permanent and it basically erased a bunch of scars I had, which was an unexpected bonus.

This stuff works great
Use an anti-chafing product. I use Bodyglide. It comes in a stick form (I think the stick does a better job, but it's more difficult to apply) and alotion form. It works wonders for me. There's likely other anti-chafing products on the market, I haven't tried any because of how well Bodyglide works for me.

Try this!
Completely fixed it for me! I've seen it in the sporting goods section at Target too.
Wear Under Armor compression underwear and use a chafe stick like this one below. Confirmed to work well by all the chubs I know. Good luck! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00288L2N6/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_la2QvbHT4H225
