I have a Boker Coye Ridgeback for my fixed blade and it's a solid performed for heavy duty EDC.
Chunky three finger handle, sturdy 3" blade. The sheath that comes with it is overly big and tight; however it works fine carried inside my belt at a 5 o'clock position, quite easy to forget it's there.
Lastly, it's 440c so the rest resistance is right where I need it to be for the humidity here in Houston.
Do I need a heavy duty fixed blade EDC? I do not..... but I still love it.
EDIT: I took some pictures of it and posted them here.
Boker makes a good version
But the sheath is junk. I would recommend:
This is a belt knife, nice and small. I carry it on my left side, non dominant, above the left pocket.
How's the sheath for the Ridgeback? Does it include the original box/paperwork? Would you do $40 on it since it's available for $50 from Amazon?
Esee Izula 2 with the micarta handles. Roughly $58 Here
I currently use a bill coye custom forerunner but would recommend the boker ridgeback which is the same knife licensed to Boker by bill. Nice and stout handle though its 3.38inches long. Great for deer, only recommendation is that the boker belt sheath/clips are shit. $55 on amazon
$49 new, just to let you know.
