I read a book recently, Bold Forecast, that went into a lot of fascinating detail about Agnes.

Barges lifting off of their moorings and being washed down city streets, every warehouse and office building along the Allegheny's north shore were filled to the first floor, a 20' high stack of barges at the bottom of the Highland Park dam... I never really paid attention to water damage, we lived north of Pittsburgh on a hill, but this book was eye-opening. 😬
