It's possible to add drainage holes to just about any pot! A tile/glass drill bit like this one can be used even when the plant has already been potted (as a last ditch effort when the plant isn't strong enough yet). Just have to be super gentle with tipping it.
I used this bit: http://www.amazon.com/Bosch-GT300-4-Inch-Carded-Glass/dp/B00292AAUM/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1446958900&sr=8-5&keywords=ceramic+drill+bit
but you can use most ceramic/glass bits, just put towels around/underneath where you are drilling and splash water on the area you drill because it can get pretty hot. You also should know that it can take a while, 10 minutes or so, to drill each hole (especially in porcelain cups, ceramic mugs go quicker). It's totally worth it, though! if you look on youtube/google "how to drill a hole in a teacup" there are a ton of tutorials; this is how I learned how to do it! Good Luck!
