Choose any RH that you prefer. They control the RH with a two-way process that will either absorb or release water depending on the need of the container. Also, some people recharge them with distilled water. I haven’t tried that yet.

Some very questionable blends you have there. Use these to learn how to cut, light, draw, and generally learn how to smoke a cigar, then move up from here. The Ron Mexico for example is made as a joke cigar and is absolutely horrible. The others I am not at all familiar with. If there is a tip that helped me most in this hobby when starting out it was this: Smoking cigars is not a cheap hobby. If you try to make it one, you're really just scratching the surface of the enjoyment you can get from cigars.

You have entered a minefield here I have been through this many times and was pulling out my hair using just three monitors to check calibration, you think you have it then the other one goes out,I have lots of hygrometers from Mi, Switchbot, Thermopro, Govee etc all attached to ha using the HACS Passive Ble integration and the easiest way to answer your question is to calibrate your monitors using a Boveda calibration kit…

From what I understand, it depends on which the card bends.

If when you set the card down with the front side up it makes an arch, it means the water content in the foiled portion is higher than the nonfoiled back. If the card makes a U when you set it down front side up, then it means the water content in the back is higher than the foiled side.

For the arched cards, you need to use something that reintroduces moisture. For U shaped cards, you need to use a desiccant.

Mine all appeared to be arched, so I’m trying using these in an airtight sealed container to see if it helps. From what I’ve read 62% seems to be a good sweet spot for humidity, but I’ll see what happens to some random commander legends commons first.

That all being said, the fact that I or others are having to go to these lengths to make these cards tournament playable is frankly ridiculous.

Boveda 62%, 8-gram size is typically what is recommended. I've used them and they helped a lot. They didn't quite get mine all the way flat so I have some 65% and 69% coming that will hopefully finish the job.

If your foils are cupped (concave while sitting face-up on a table) you need less moisture, and might need to go with a 58% or 49% to get them flat before storing with the 62%.

I've started keeping these Boveda humidity packets in with my flower for storage. My dad got my brother and I both some flower with one of these packs in these smell-proof and light-proof jars. They worked so well I bought more of them. I got some bud from my guy that was on the crispy side, and left it with one of those packets in the jar overnight and it's perfect (to me, anyway). I like when my grind feels almost cotton-y soft and sticks together a bit.

When you store your bud, toss a humidity pellet bag in with them, it’ll keep it from getting too dry and keep it fresher for longer.

So this sort of curling (where the back is concave and the front is convex) is because the card was produced in an environment that was more humid than the one you are in. The opposite, where the environment it was produced in is less humid.

Some info...

1) The USA has an embargo against Cuban products, including cigars, so cuban cigars can't be imported legally there. Both Cuba and the USA manufacture cigars under the Romeo Y Julieta brand, the box you have is cuban and it looks like it was actually bought in cuba based on the MINSAP sticker.

2) Cigars need to be stored at a correct humidity, around 65%, otherwise they dry out, those in aluminium tubes will keep longer and better outside of a humidor but they are not completely air tight. If you're trying to sell them, their condition will matter to the buyer. Your best bet is to buy a boveda pack from amazon

Take the cigars out of their tubes, put them into a clean airtight tupperware container with the boveda pack inside, leave them for a few months. This will get them back up to their correct humidity. They can incidentally be stored indefinitely like this.

Too much moisture is not great because it can cause mold. Air tight containers are what you want. If you go to a head shop they usually carry stash jars. If you have a lot you’re trying to keep fresh vacuum sealing is good. There are also humidity control packs you can put in your jars that can help keep things fresh.

Solid! I ordered some humidifier packs (I hope these are what you meant?) And grabbed some mason jars. A lot of my flower has been sitting out while I'm trying to learn and experiment so it might already be shot in that regard, but hey next time!

Yea, that should be fine, just make sure the jars (if clear and not special dark UV) are kept in the dark and a stable temp area (65-70F, although colder is fine as my basement hits about 55-60 in the winter, just so long as you don't have huge quick temperature flucts)

They also make special packets (some people like them, I had no need due to my location) but makes curing less hands on, but I honestly enjoying burping cause you get that nice smell.

Your best bet is to buy a humidity calibration kit like this one to calibrate your Acurite. Then use the reading from the Acurite to calibrate your ecobee humidity sensor. My ecobee was off by 9%.

I recommend the 9.6 cup Rubbermaid Brilliance and 2x 60g 65%rH Boveda humidity packs. This will hold in the neighborhood of 30 smokes depending on sizes. It is a far simpler and more reliable method to store a few smokes and should come in aprox. $25 US. Amazon has the packs for $5.99 each and the container for $12.99.

You can use a product like this to fix cards curled from being too dry, just throw it in a sealed container with a couple of cards and they will straighten out in a few hours.

As everyone else said a mason jar with a 62% boveda pack. you can find a single mason jar that can store about an oz of weed (32 oz jar) at a dollar tree for about 5$, and the boveda packs can be bought here, try to keep the weed in the dark for the most part. This is pretty much how you also keep weed for longer.

So in my experience it can store up to around 75 depending on the length/ring gauges. With Boveda recommending 1 60g packet for every 25 cigars then a 4 pack will do nicely.

Make sure you get some distilled water to recharge them instead of constantly buying new ones. It’ll save you money in the long run.

Above 72 is not recommended as it could lead to beetles. Before moving to a fridge, a closet or basement might be a better option. Typically these areas are cooler.

Hygrometers should be calibrated every 6 months or so to make sure they are accurate. Google how to do a Salt Test or you can order a Calibration Kit from Amazon.

You buy the humidity packs at certain percentages. You keep it with the bud in an airtight container (out of the light preferably) and it keeps the the humidity in the jar at that percentage. Lol at least that's how I understand it works.

Definitely, it's an important phase. But I wouldn't say that it can ruin everything, maybe if you don't do your homeworkk you can get mold though.

It's just a RH packet, once you get to a stable RH you can toss one in. I went about 9 days of drying before I added one at like 59%. Ill keep it in the jar for the lifespan of the weed. Biggest issue is people add them to early and you can get to much humidity and then mold.

I put my bud in a mason jar with a Boveda pack.

I generally buy 15g at a time. It lasts me a couple months and the bud is still fresh right down to the last nugget.

It should be okay. As everyone is saying air tight is always better. Your flower could get a little dry in that if air is getting in. If that happens Boveda Humidity Packs (found some on Amazon) are amazing at keeping flower fresh.

They probably don't need to be "aired out" since nothing from W2T is going to have storage notes. Humidified storage doesn't have to be difficult to set up, though - a plastic bin with a cup of wet salt in it will do (finding a plastic bin that doesn't smell bad is the hardest part). You can also use a Ziploc bag with a Boveda pack in it. I use these for my bins (I can actually get them cheaper from a local tobacconist than from Amazon, though).

Drying out tea won't usually make it taste bad, it just won't be as good as if it were properly humidified.

The bud should pretty much break off the stem by hand before you jar. Throw in a boveda pack and a hygrometer and monitor them to make sure you're no higher than 62% humidity. No need to burp. Just make sure to keep an eye on the humidity. I lost 20g to bud rot while curing even though I had a boveda pack in the jar because my humidity was a little too high, and my bud was in too large of nug that it couldn't get any airflow. I also didn't have a hygrometer in that jar. You can take the meters out after the humidity stabilizes in the jar and be fine too.

Also drop one of these in with it & your shit will stay fresh & continue to cure. Nake sure you use the 62% ones.
