Some cigar/smoke shops and most Headshops have them. I usually add a few to my order when i get some smoking accessories. For example Amazon
Recommended pack size to weed:
Boveda 4 gram: 7-14 grams of medicine.
Boveda 8 gram: 14-28 grams of medicine.
Edit: When you are looking online you might see they are available in various humidity levels (for different stuff) and 62% is used for weed.
I wish 3.5g could last me a month, but usually gone in 2 days.
On Amazon, buy a bag of boveda brand humidity control. You can use the same one over and over for a couple of months.

Pot masson + 1 pad boveda + ton weed.
Instructions:
Criss toute dans le pot masson Fermes le pot masson Range le pot masson dans un endroit sombre qui fait pas 35 degrés

Bonne journée les chums!
Hahaha I totally understand!!! Glad to help! And don’t risk poisoning yourself with those packs! Never heard it was food-grade safe, use these! Worth every penny.
Y'all motherfuckers snitched. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00JV27MF4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I was buying these for 12$ 6 months ago and now they are 30 on amazon.
By the by, they are the best thing ever. Anyone who doesnt use them gets instantly converted when they see how fresh your weed is. Try and order them online, head shops are rip off for them.
I wouldn't base your LP choice on this at all since they cost $1.20 each on Amazon and last quite a while.
Best seller. Curing helps potency a ton, bag appeal, flavors, smells, https://www.amazon.com/Boveda-62-Percent-2-Way-Humidity-Control/dp/B00JV27MF4/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=humidity+packs&qid=1599068199&sprefix=humidity&sr=8-3
Boveda 62%, 8-gram size is typically what is recommended. I've used them and they helped a lot. They didn't quite get mine all the way flat so I have some 65% and 69% coming that will hopefully finish the job.
If your foils are cupped (concave while sitting face-up on a table) you need less moisture, and might need to go with a 58% or 49% to get them flat before storing with the 62%.
So this sort of curling (where the back is concave and the front is convex) is because the card was produced in an environment that was more humid than the one you are in. The opposite, where the environment it was produced in is less humid.
Some people have had good success with the kinds of humidity packs that are used for Cigars. I've heard 62% be the magic number used by some: https://www.amazon.com/Boveda-62-Percent-2-Way-Humidity-Control/dp/B00JV27MF4?th=1
Understood. So whichever one I have, just use one of those small packets + like a Ziploc or some other airtight container and that's it? Nothing else needed like some napkin around the card or paper. For the N curve, those small cigar packets on Amazon are what was being recommended earlier right? These basically https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JV27MF4
I use Boveda 62, size 8 (size 8 is good for 28g/1oz). Ideal humidity for bud is 62, you can find Boveda packs in just about any smoke shop and they have them on Amazon as well. (I ordered the ones in the picture here)
“I’m certain there is a proper amount of humidity the flower should be at for best results…” which make THESE a worthwhile investment.
Can get em on Amazon cheap. They come in dif sizes

1 min pre heat and about 3:00 for the press.
I got 21% from frankencake T1 that was pressed for 4 mins using a 160u at 190f.
I'm also using Boveda packs 62% size 8 and I make sure they get about a week with the packs before I press them.
Yea, that should be fine, just make sure the jars (if clear and not special dark UV) are kept in the dark and a stable temp area (65-70F, although colder is fine as my basement hits about 55-60 in the winter, just so long as you don't have huge quick temperature flucts)
They also make special packets (some people like them, I had no need due to my location) but makes curing less hands on, but I honestly enjoying burping cause you get that nice smell.
Just drop one of these into the airtight jar you store your bud in. Depending on how dry your flower is it could take anywhere between a day to a week to get the humidity right. https://www.amazon.com/Boveda-62-Percent-2-Way-Humidity-Control/dp/B00JV27MF4
It's not just an open bowl, it has a lid. I've never had any issues with it drying out too much before I go through it. I do keep a Boveda pack in there too, to help control the humidity level.
As everyone else said a mason jar with a 62% boveda pack. you can find a single mason jar that can store about an oz of weed (32 oz jar) at a dollar tree for about 5$, and the boveda packs can be bought here, try to keep the weed in the dark for the most part. This is pretty much how you also keep weed for longer.
You can get them here: Learn more: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JV27MF4/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_RE8oFbJ4CGF46
It's just a RH packet, once you get to a stable RH you can toss one in. I went about 9 days of drying before I added one at like 59%. Ill keep it in the jar for the lifespan of the weed. Biggest issue is people add them to early and you can get to much humidity and then mold.
I put my bud in a mason jar with a Boveda pack.
I generally buy 15g at a time. It lasts me a couple months and the bud is still fresh right down to the last nugget.
They can help with that too, but they can also be helpful when there is too much humidity since the packets are a 2 way humidity control.
I haven’t used them either, but they seem to get really great reviews from other growers as well!
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00JV27MF4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_9NKqDbM8YDGAS
they also have stock of the 4g packs in 58 and 62 as well and it's not too, too outrageously priced.
62% is perfect, get the 8 gram ones. They're bigger than you'd think. The next size up is way too big for most mason jars IMO.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Boveda-Humidipak-Medium-Humidity-Control/dp/B00JV27MF4
I bought that one ^ then I got paks for future grows too, but you can buy single ones as well, cheaper.
What I've seen are Bovida packs. They regulate the humidity, and that's really important to a good cure and long term storage. IIRC, the buds need O2 for the cure to take place, that's why the jars need to be opened every day.
Yeah, mold is deadly. There's sadly no way to save it - I used to suggest making edibles out of it, but another ent linked to a paper that showed how the mold can ruin you even after you cook and eat it.
Mold happens when weed is too damp, usually a result of improper curing. Storing it at the correct humidity is the best way to prevent it. A glass jar with a humidity pack in it (they will suck up excess humidity, and release water when the humidity is too low) is probably the best approach. I use these:
What about Bovida in jars:
Does anyone know if this is an ok method? How often should they be burped, and should it be a dry trim if using Bovida?
61% is fine, lots of people on here use the 62% humidity packs to cure including myself. I would look those up if you're interested in making it easier.
The solution kills two birds with one stone. It humidifies and it contains an anti molding agent. The distilled water will just humidify. For a short term solution the water is fine. But always check your cigars for mold growth. Don't smoke mold.
The boveda packs will also help reduce your chances for mold and will be cheap at your local smoke shop or on amazon The boveda packs in the xikar travel humidor will last a very very long time.
Or a Ball mason jar with one of these humidity control packets. You can get Ball brand mason jars at Target or Walmart.
Mason jar should be good, just try to keep the box out of direct sunlight. If you are really worried about mold, or if you buy in bulk and don't want it to dry out, maybe consider a humidifier pack thingy.
Really? I emptied my dme into a cheapo sandwich bag a few months ago and it's still just as dry as when I bought it.
Not what I used, but maybe try the freezer bags? Aren't those more water-proof? Also, I don't keep mine anywhere with higher humidity (kitchen or basement). It sits in my closet with my gear. All else fails you can check out Boveda packs. I use the 65% ones for my cigars and they are very reliable.
If you want to not only keep your bud at the perfect consistency, but also mature it/increase it's flavour and potency, I suggest grabbing some of these for your stash jars; Boveda Packs 62%
Seriously, I've left bud for months in a jar with these, and when I opened it up it nearly blew my face off.
Try boveda packs. They might help. Here
se quer controlar a humidade tenta usar packs de humidade tipo boveda ou se tiver algum humidificador ou desumidificador
You should really get some hygrometers to see what they're at. And throw your flowers into a glass jar with one and some type of hydration method if they're not at the right humidity.

Yeah it saves me when i'm out of fresh weed leaf/bud . Not sure about headshops selling it but i got mine from amazon https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00JV27MF4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I buy a 10 pack on amazon for like $15 and they last a solid month per oz, each one is good for 1 oz

They are just slightly too big for the new Khiron rubs, but you can squeeze them in and in a few hours the bud tastes a lot better.

ish.
I'd recommend buying some 62% bovada packs and a mason jar to store your flower. You'll notice improved quality.

I use the 62% and not the 58% because I can always dry my weed easily if I want - which isn't needed anyway because 62% is just right. The 8 gram pack is a good size, fits anything from 1/8th to an ounce so exactly my need.

Definitely, it's an important phase. But I wouldn't say that it can ruin everything, maybe if you don't do your homeworkk you can get mold though.
Here's something that I've ssen using on youtube! https://www.amazon.com/Boveda-62-Percent-2-Way-Humidity-Control/dp/B00JV27MF4/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=boveda+62&qid=1599660098&sr=8-5 It helps with the fragrance of your weed
You can store cannabis in air-tight containers for a long time, just add these to your jars: https://www.amazon.com/Boveda-62-Percent-2-Way-Humidity-Control/dp/B00JV27MF4
The bud should pretty much break off the stem by hand before you jar. Throw in a boveda pack and a hygrometer and monitor them to make sure you're no higher than 62% humidity. No need to burp. Just make sure to keep an eye on the humidity. I lost 20g to bud rot while curing even though I had a boveda pack in the jar because my humidity was a little too high, and my bud was in too large of nug that it couldn't get any airflow. I also didn't have a hygrometer in that jar. You can take the meters out after the humidity stabilizes in the jar and be fine too.
Also drop one of these in with it & your shit will stay fresh & continue to cure. Nake sure you use the 62% ones.

Inkbird Temperature and Humidity... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GQWY9HM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I needed one that could also run the ac so the 1800watts was the main reason for this model. You can change the humidity and temperature sensor so you could change to what you need honestly really like it.
Yes and no at first the fridge would not stay above 34 rh after some research it's this model fridge and was able to tape up the sensor and now it is between 55 and 60 constantly so good...... But also think this might be because of the rain we are getting so just keeping an eye on it.
You are leaps and bounds ahead of the needed recommendation to start trouble shooting long before plants.
I use a Gosund smart outlet that has a few managed outlets. Some always on and a couple of USB.
I used this inkbird device last time. Little more than I need really. I might have gotten a similar effect with an AC infinity temp controlled inline fan/carbon filter instead of this guy. But it’s here now.
Congrats on the graduation to the next phase.
This is the one that I use.
You don't need it but you will work a lot harder to keep things right and it won't be as stable as if you automate it.
Seconding this. I've been very happy using this to control my humidifier and dehumidifier. You set a target RH and the acceptable range. For example, I've got my target set to 55% right now, so at 60% the dehumidifier kicks in and the humidifier comes on at 50% if the RH gets too low.
I grabbed mine during a Reddit giveaway/discount promo maybe a year back. Their official account is u/ink-bird if you want to stalk them for promos.
Alright, idk how to send pics on reddit.. laugh at me 😋.. so yeah i guess ill text it.. i have a heater set across from my grow tent about 5 feet away (its an electric oil radiator or some sh*t idk (bc its colder in my basement) set on a time. The NON HEAT PRODUCING small bright light inside, fan in tent, and humidifier thing all on another timer (same device). The humidifier is outside pumping air and moisture in at once. Mine could use more fae but Im working on it. Trying to fan a little air into there once a day or every other day or so, to exchange air. Edit: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GQWY9HM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share this is the timer device i use
I actually only bought one item from Amazon, the inkbird temp and humidity sensor. Link below. I had an old stand up freezer, a humidifier, and a little fan already. I started trial running it last night before I started drilling holes in the freezer and it works perfectly! I have a separate temp and humidity gauge coming to confirm at various points in the freezer, but so far so good.

The inkbird is pretty neat. My inkbird has two outlets and two sensors which monitor the temperature and humidity. You set a range for both of these settings (a max, minimum, and alarm setting) and plug in your devices. The inkbird lets power through to your heater or humidifier or vibrating buttplug when it sense the temperature or humidity is low and turns it off once it reached your desired range of heat and or humidity. You could by a single sensor for either heat or humidity but I figured since I want to eventually transition to a martha or tent that it would be cheaper in the long run to buy the one that does both.
Inkbird Temperature and Humidity... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GQWY9HM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I have a seven dollar timer from bimart(support employee owned businesses when you can) that I bought for the light. I will plan to use the same for a fan to set the intervals. For now, while I don't have a tent or a humidifier, doin the old spritzarooni.
Ah nice bro i dont the luxury of runnin an ac yet but hopefully gonna be able to next year.
Ah man you gotta get a few of these flower, veg, clone, dry, cure i use them everywhere honestly lol

All I did was add a controller to the carbon fan. I don't mind a little smell. Fan runs most of the time anyway venting humidity. I use this but I saw them as low as $25. Just search humidity controller. If you get a dehumidifier, you will need a controller anyway. This what I use! Works pretty good
You're looking for a temperature/humidity controller. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GQWY9HM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fab_2QVGFbSCAF64Y
This will allow you to set a humidity/temperature level and turn something on to compensate. I have 2 of these and they work great.
My bad, it's not absorbing more water, it's water holding capacity is increasing which allows it to absorb more moisture if/when it's available. So increased holding capacity decreases the humidity.
Depending on where your humidity sensor is, it's probably just reading the initial vapor from the humidifier. End of the day, you're going to have to keep that humidifier running and you're going to be dealing with constant humidity swings every time your lights turn on and off and the temp changes.
I had a similar issue with my seed germination cabinet and ended up solving it by exposing the lighting heatsyncs outside of the box to remove that variable and using a crockpot attached to a humidity controller to keep the heat/humidity where i needed it. It just has a thermostat/humidistat that turns it on and off as needed. I use this controller. Super simple to use.
I control temp with an in-line thermostat hooked up to a space heater.
If you want to control humidity at the same time inkbird makes a temperature and humidity controller this guy for 69 dollars but you need to buy a humidifier and space heater to hook up to it
This is kind of the goal, just with remote monitoring. I’d say using a controller like this is the norm for everyone that builds their own aging chamber at home. I’m just looking for a way to monitor the status
Inkbird makes nice ones.
Inkbird Temperature and Humidity Controller ITC-608T Pre-Wired Dual Stage Thermostat 120VAC 15A 1800W ETL Listed Mushroom Greenhouse Homebrew https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GQWY9HM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_LR3RDbT3FFK2T
They turn on your humidifier and heater when you reach temp and RH.
There’s cheaper ones too. Like $45
Inkbird makes a cheap controller for this I’ve been looking at myself here Amazon
You'd be cutting it pretty close.
You'll need a 4x2x3 or 4x2x2. Like this
The snake grows fast so it's best to get it's permanent enclosure as quickly as possible. And since they are semi-arboreal, it's good to give them room to climb. I would definitely recommend against getting a "starter enclosure".
For an enclosure that size you'll need a radiant heat panel as well as at least one heat pad for belly heat. Like this and this
You'll need a thermostat and humidity controller. Like this
You'll also need a humidity mister. I would recommend buying a very high quality one because these are the most likely thing to break. This is similar to what they use in grocery stores like this.
You'll also need a day light timer and a decent lighting solution. so add another 100 or so.
Then add to that all of the tank accessories like hides and branches to climb.
You're probably at around 900-1000 without the snake or the bedding.
3 most important factors: light, environment, genetics.
VPD is your friend!!! Keep that link handy as you get your environment dialed in. Having a temp/rh controller like an InkBird is lifesaver.
MiracleGro is plant death - it's way too hot and will nuke your plants. Anything with "delayed feeding" is to be avoided.
You'll want to research seedling feeding, as a lot of people will either overwater or underwater which can start you off on a bad foot.
Inkbird temperature and humidity control or just the humidity control.
Depends on the RH of the environment.
Veg has a diff RH requirement than flower and curing. It's good to be able to be flexible when you can.
Our winters get SUPER dry and you'll absolutely want to add humidity to your tent not only while growing, but when curing as well.
For what it's worth, you can find some cool shit like Inkbirds on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Inkbird-Temperature-Controller-Pre-Wired-Thermostat/dp/B07GQWY9HM
I've got one of those hooked up to a tiny cheap electric heater and a small humidifier. You can set the thresholds for when to kick on/off or alarm.

I got it off Amazon and it was only $70! Pretty good for having both temperature and humidity readers 👍🏻
I am using this for both temp and humidity controls. Incredibly difficult to program but i got it now 😅
In Oshawa have a brand new Inkbird Temperature & Humidity controller up for sale/trade
I used to use this controller for my small tent. Combine with a manual switched dehumidifier and humidifier.
I’m using one these controllers [Inkbird Temperature and Humidity... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GQWY9HM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share] it kicks in the fogger when the humidity goes below 5% of the setpoint .
You could attach some corrugated polycarbonate to enclose the space. Looks like you have room to screw it just under the eaves there and it would only leave tiny holes. You could also get some drain pans and put your plants in those if you're worried about water leaking. These types of pans are used under water heaters or like those under a laundry sink. Any home depot type store should carry them
Then just run the drains from those pans out under your balcony wall there. Humidity is simple enough to deal with by installing a backdraft port through the polycarbonate with a fan. I love these temperature/humidity sensors because they work great and are super convenient https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GQWY9HM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
plug the vent fan into the second plug for the humidity controller and you even plug a window fan into the temperature sensor to pull heat out into the balcony so you wouldn't have to use a secondary heater.

I use inkbird controllers, I never cut corners when it comes to my tents so I pay the difference and I haven't suffered due to it so far.
I have both of these I use them on diff tents but they do the same thing.

I second this advice. I use an inkbird temp/humidity controller. The nice thing is it can be set up to humidity or dehumidify, and heat or cool. So just pair it up with the appropriate appliances for your situation. Right now I have a small 500w heater and I use my 4inch exhaust fan to control humidity.

Edit: it's a humidity and tempriture controller.
I made my chamber out of an old freezer, humidifier, a small fan, and this inkbird Temp and Humidity Control. The first 3 items I already had so this cost me a total of $75 and I have been making awesome stuff the last couple of months with it (check my profile for recent posts and pics). I am in Southern CA btw.

And throw your flowers into a glass jar with one and some type of hydration method if they're not at the right humidity.

ish.

I actually use this device for my heater as it can differentiate temps between lights on and off.

My RH stays within +/- 2% of where I set the inkbird.
Temp is also +/- 3*

Edit: it's a humidity and tempriture controller.
I made my chamber out of an old freezer, humidifier, a small fan, and this inkbird Temp and Humidity Control. The first 3 items I already had so this cost me a total of $75 and I have been making awesome stuff the last couple of months with it (check my profile for recent posts and pics). I am in Southern CA btw.
