I use 65% 8 gram packs.

It's a little higher than what most people use, which is closer to 60%. But I figure that over time they will dry out and curl so going for 65% just prolongs it, in theory. I haven't done any testing to see if it's true or not though.
Congratulations on your purchase!! I hope you enjoy em, from one college student to another. What school do you go to?
First, I would find a temporary home for the cigars (a tupperware with a good seal, a ziploc bag, etc. as long as it has a GOOD seal) and a boveda pack. These can be found on amazon for fairly cheap, as well as most likely at your nearest tobacco shop. I recommend 65%. These will last a long while, so spending a little on them up front isn't a bad idea. Put the cigars in the sealed container with a boveda pack, and then start seasoning your humidor. While you're seasoning, get a hygrometer (here's a couple examples: 1 or 2 or 3) which can also be bought at many local tobacco shops. Once your humidor is seasoned and the hygrometer is reading steady, put the boveda pack in the humidor right there under or on top of your cigars and you're good to go! And that will last you for a very long time, so a small upfront cost really is worth it to protect your new cigars.
