I recently bought a braun stick blender with a little food processor attachment like this (https://www.amazon.com/Braun-x3000-blender-Professional-MR5555MCA/dp/B002KF2NAI) and I love it. It's so easy to clean and is a multitasker which doesn't take up much room so it still give me the option of a food processor, I just need to make things in smaller batches at a time (which is fine because it works quickly anyway)
I use the Braun (the original and still the best, I think) imersion blender...read the reviews...ignore the price...I buy mine at the Salvation Army ~$10.00....I've owned mine for a couple of years now... http://www.amazon.com/Braun-x3000-blender-Professional-MR5555MCA/dp/B002KF2NAI
Washing the imersion blender....?...stick it in water and activate....
I have a Breville Blender and Breville Smart Oven....
Breville is innovative but needs to work on their technology....
The blender I bought reconditioned and it works really well EXCEPT that the imitation stainless steel finish is peeling with use and all the interior water seals are rusting....
I make most of my smoothies in this blender....start with nuts and dates and frozen blueberries or mangos....knocks the hell out of them.... The Smart Oven (new) quit after a few months...no surprise as I was expecting it to fail after reading the reviews and their very positive customer service...but with Xmas dinner inside...!?
Returned Smart Oven to store of purchase for prompt (but too late for dinner) exchange....
Interestingly, Breville Customer Service wasn't at all surprised by my call....
