Yeah, I wasnt really looking forward to dremeling them all out both because it would be incredibly time consuming, and like you said, too much room for error, to where the stars end up lopsided or wonky. There is also a union template I ordered from Amazon, and used that as a map to know where to place the stars, rather than doing a bunch of measuring
