I purchased these, the dealership said it was basically the same ones they sell but unbranded. Got them for our 2020 forester as well.
I purchased the same Yakima Skybox 16 for around $560 new less than two years ago so it does seem like inflation has hit roof boxes. That said, it is a great roof box and adds a ton of extra space. I’ve used it many times.
For crossbars I have these Brightlines from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079K69B5L/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_navT_a_AWVXS6KK4KKX656XM819
They are the OEM style and have held up great.
You can also get the Brightlines Aero crossbars (which are essentially the OEM style) and save a few bucks: https://www.amazon.com/BRIGHTLINES-2018-2019-Crosstrek-2017-2019-Crossbars/dp/B079K69B5L/ref=sr_1_5?crid=OYP89UXW8LHG&dchild=1&keywords=subaru+crosstrek+crossbars&qid=1610083783&sprefix=subaru+cross%2Caps%2C222&sr=8-5
I drove halfway across the country and they held my Yakima Skybox perfectly.

Hah! Caught me in the middle of commenting exactly this :)
The roof rails are the Brightlines Aero cross bars
On top of which sits a Thule Motion XT L
Did not snap a side shot, but it's dark where I live right now and she's nestled in the garage so I can't get a good one until tomorrow, likely.
If you look at it from the side, it looks like it pokes over the front of the car, but I cannot see it from the driver's seat. Noise-wise, I definitely noticed some extra noise driving at highway speeds, but if I have music on like I usually do and am not actively looking for noise, I can't hear anything extra.
One thing I did want to call out is that the Motion XT L is about 17" high, so I had concerns about whether or not it would fit in my garage (She lives in a tiny detached garage in my complex) . Turns out she does, but I only have about 2" of clearance below my garage box, so do your measurements beforehand!
While you might want to look into actual kayak mounts, this is my setup:
Looks like aftermarket, pair of aero bars from Amazon, such as bright lines https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079K69B5L/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_5TQ437S0GTF0E86JHYMM
I bought the Brightlines Aero Cross Bars off of Amazon for $100.
Easy to install and look great.
