> bidet - freaking expensive
?????
It is far cheaper to just get a bidet than using toilet paper alone, or toilet paper in conjunction with wet wipes. I did the math.
Bidets are NOT expensive. Here’s the one I have and use daily. It’s $22 and can be installed by anyone, without tools. Your quest to eliminate toilet paper would go a lot easier if you just used one of these and then kept washcloths on hand to dry yourself. They’ll hardly get dirty if at all - normal laundering would be just fine.
Brondell Bidet - Thinline SimpleSpa SS-150 | Fresh Water Spray | Non-Electric | Bidet Toilet Attachment in White with Self Cleaning Nozzle | SafeCore Internal Valve | Nozzle Guard | Easy to Install https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075MMHQX7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Gf6uAb1YRJHSY
I've used a Tushy and other cheaper ones on Amazon and can confidently say it's not really worth the higher price tag for the Tushy.
Also you def don't need heated water. You'll get used to the cold water. Sometimes the cold water is better than a cup of coffee. (Or especially nice if you eat something spicy. Haha)
I own this one which is half the price and just as effective. I installed it all by myself! Super easy.
As a woman, I thought I'd need the dual nozzles or the ability to aim it, but TBH I just shift and tilt my hips to make the nozzle hit the right spot.
this is what I personally have
cheap and very reliable never let my asshole down
Nah, the reddit search feature sucks. Luckily the amazon search feature is great. Here’s one: Brondell Bidet - Thinline SimpleSpa SS-150 | Fresh Water Spray | Non-Electric | Bidet Toilet Attachment in White with Self Cleaning Nozzle | SafeCore Internal Valve | Nozzle Guard | Easy to Install https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075MMHQX7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_kgI9zb83F47YN
Totally! Here’s one on Amazon for $24.99. I had one a few years before we bought our current one and it works great. Will douche you and makes trips to the bathroom a lot cleaner.
Seriously. Invest in an attachment bidet
Brondell Bidet - Thinline SimpleSpa SS-150 Fresh Water Spray Non-Electric Bidet Toilet Attachment in White with Self Cleaning Nozzle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075MMHQX7/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_D68NXT4T4TB4TE0G064A
You'll still use toilet paper but not as much. And that butthole will be nice and clean
Dometic 310 is just the toilet. It was an upgrade over the molded plastic Dometic 300 that was originally in my trailer. A bidet attachment wouldn't have fit on that. The bidet attachment I used is linked below, but most standard ones should work.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075MMHQX7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
bidet is the anti-shit, buy this, trust me. After this it is a single wipe every time. https://www.amazon.com/Brondell-Bidet-SimpleSpa-Non-Electric-Attachment/dp/B075MMHQX7/ref=sr_1_7?crid=1TNWJ6NB6U5L4&keywords=boudet+toilet+attachment&qid=1553915616&s=gateway&sprefix=boudet%2Caps%2C194&sr=8-7
Pogne un un attachement qui se met sur ta toilette... Sa coute 40$ pis sa fais la job.
I have that the Omigo, Tushy, and Brondell bidet attachments.
The best one of the three is definitely the Brondell SimpleSpa. I have it in all my bathrooms. It is simple and has good pressure. It can usually be had for about $30.
https://www.amazon.com/Brondell-Bidet-SimpleSpa-Non-Electric-Attachment/dp/B075MMHQX7
I have this one. Bought it a couple yrs before the pandemic. Super simple to install. Pressure is adjusted by how far you turn the dial. Go slow. Test it without sitting on it 1st. Unless you need an enema. It saved my marriage. J/k
Sure did. I just got a simple non-electric one, linked below. I did have to upgrade the toilet to a Dometic 310. The basic one that came with the camper (Dometic 300 I believe) has a plastic part on the back that doesn't allow any bidet attachment. That upgrade is worth it on its own too. The plastic one is trash.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075MMHQX7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
If you are worried about quality, I don't think it's an amazon thing. It's a brand one.
I bought this one right at the beginning of the pandemic and it's fantastic. We use half as much toilet paper as we did before.
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B075MMHQX7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Nope! I have these. Just take the seat off and connect the water supply and put the seat back on. Our TP usage dramatically decreased which is good because I insist on Charmin Ultra soft. No more hundred wipe shits. Just a quick wipe to dry off and make sure everything is clean.
I have a Tushy, and it would be difficult to turn the knob, I'd recommend staying away from that.
I also have a Brondell which has a control that is very easy to turn. I think it would be fine: https://www.amazon.com/Brondell-Bidet-SimpleSpa-Non-Electric-Attachment/dp/B075MMHQX7
It’s a little more expensive now, but this is the one I have (single nozzle, but I find if you tilt your hips, it hits the front just fine). I installed it myself in about 5 minutes without any plumbing knowledge:
Brondell Bidet - Thinline SimpleSpa SS-150 Fresh Water Spray Non-Electric Bidet Toilet Attachment in White with Self Cleaning Nozzle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075MMHQX7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_S8T8DXFPS43G4WYQMD9P?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I think we used a small hand mirror. Then, after they’d done a couple attempts, they’d hop down and squat to see how it went.
But my middle kid...man I was still checking and rewiping past kindergarten. That lasted until we got this bidet add-on. I’m dead serious when I tell everyone to get one. It got that kid self-sufficient right away. A squirt or two cleans them off and then they just pat dry for the most part.
I’ve bought at least six for friends and family. The benefit to the potty training aside, as a hairy man it’s saved me thousands of hours per year on the can :)
You can get bidets off of Amazon for $30 that work exactly the same if not better than the Tushy ones, minus paying for the twee startup fonts and branding, btw. Tushy's advertisements annoy the shit out of me which is why I'm railing so hard against them, plus they're selling something at a 300% markup.
I have a "Brondell Bidet - Thinline SimpleSpa" that works pretty well, and isn't as obnoxiously large as the Tushy model. I rent so I'm not about to start drilling into my bathroom cabinet to get the hot water supply, but you can get decent warm water bidets for about $40
I have one by Brondell that was like $30 when I bought it. It just has a super simple knob that twists to either spray up to clean you or sprays down to clean the bowl. It only took me like 10 minutes to install. It also lays super flat along the bowl so you shouldn't need any spacers to fit your toilet seat properly.
You can definitely spend more money though and get way fancier ones that will let you adjust angles better or heat the water up or whatever other functions might exist hahaha. I'd never used one until about 6 months ago so I don't know a ton about them, but the one I bought has definitely worked great so far.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075MMHQX7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_OKo5FbT04355V?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
This one I got after visiting Japan and experiencing the magic of Bidets (if never used before know that there is a bit of a system learning curve as your body gets used for what to expect 😂). Been over a year and half and still squirting strong with no leaks or cracks.
Also the "door" covering the sprayers is super handy for cleaning. Other products either don't have the cover or it's not loveable.
The heated ones are expensive. If you’re willing to put up with cold water, I recommend this cheaper one
Brondell Bidet - Thinline SimpleSpa SS-150 Fresh Water Spray Non-Electric Bidet Toilet Attachment in White with Self Cleaning Nozzle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075MMHQX7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_WkXTFbDCHK2NA
This is the one I have now. I've had a luxe before and it worked well, but the way that it was designed had a lot more crevices and stuff on the handle side to get dirty.
Toilet seat bidet
Top comment from Amazon for this is hilarious
>Washes your a hole a okay
>
>not much to say. sprays a high powered jet of water in, at and around your nooks and crannies. my recommendation would be to give yourself a quick wipe to knock off the stalactites and stalagmites, power wash your corn hole and then give it a finish pass to get all the drips, drops and anything that may still be lurking under the mountainous terrain of hemorrhoids that have built up over the years. the cold water is rather soothing but if you're a pansy, get a warm water model. Water pressure could peel the barnacles off of a cruise ship, so be careful

We bought one off Amazon that attaches to the toilet. There is no hand held part. It is extremely easy to put on/take off the toilet. It takes maybe 5 minutes to install.
We bought this one.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075MMHQX7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fab_XSAHFb9KRWV5F
As an owner of that one, Id recommend against it. The plastic is very thick, so youll have some seat sliding problems. This is my favorite. Its much thinner, so the toilet seat feels just like it did before install. Also, twisting the knob instead of turning a dial like on the luxe feels better too. The dial on the luxe is a fake plastic chrome and feels/looks kinda cheap
I have this one, not from Costco but it's under $40 and works great. I'm not sure about all the bells and whistles for 10x the price. Just my opinion.
I have this $40 one. It works totally fine and was easy to install. I have uninstalled a similar type when I moved out of an apartment and it was easy to do. It sounds like a bad idea to have cold water hitting you, but it’s really more like washing your hands or face in the room temp water that comes out of the tap before the hot water kicks in. It’s not bad, and for $40 you’ll never question whether it was worth it! Someday I’d like to upgrade to a fancy one, but we don’t have an outlet next to our toilet in our house.
I'm using one right now
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075MMHQX7
I figured if I liked it I would shell out for the nice ones with temperature control etc but honestly it works great, and I'm in the south so the water doesn't get crazy cold anyway and it's refreshing.
Whoa my autocorrect was bad on that last one... brondell bidet. It's just the attachment, at the time it was only $30 on amazon.
Brondell Bidet - Thinline SimpleSpa SS-150 Fresh Water Spray Non-Electric Bidet Toilet Attachment in White with Self Cleaning Nozzle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075MMHQX7/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_ZyePEbGPKBF95
I never buy toilet paper from the stores, I have subscribed to Amazon a couple years ago and I receive monthly packs or TP, paper towels cleaning products, shampoo etc... Virtually everything that's hygiene related. This way I never run out and i save the trips to the supermarket just for groceries and such. A few months ago I bought a bidet ans this was a turning point in TP consumption at my house. It's so simple to setup and it's a life changer when it comes to personal hygiene. The TP orders' frequency wasn't reduced so of course I end up with more TP in stock. Until now that is, while the delivery from Amazon for this month is expected in a couple days, I've been getting notifications that there will be delays for lost items.
All this to say that you might not be able to get TP from Amazon this easily. Try ordering this bidet instead!
Look on Amazon for add on bidets. Much better than hoarding too.
Just one example, cant recommend enough https://www.amazon.ca/Brondell-Bidet-SimpleSpa-Non-Electric-Attachment/dp/B075MMHQX7/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=bidet&qid=1584200824&sr=8-5
This is the one I bought, but there seem to be many to choose from on Amazon. This one is very thin so it doesn’t raise the back of the toilet seat up much.
Brondell Bidet - Thinline SimpleSpa SS-150 | Fresh Water | Non-Electric | Bidet Toilet Attachment in White with Self Cleaning Nozzle | SafeCore Internal Valve | Nozzle Guard | Easy to Install https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B075MMHQX7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_TfmAEbY0DXB55
The nozzle lines up pretty well with the required area. There’s a dual nozzle version for women but I just have the single nozzle one. It’s a bit cold and the first few times were a bit weird feeling but you get used to it quickly.
Water spraying everywhere doesn’t seem to be a problem since it’s a fairly narrow jet. It’s adjustable pressure which you control by turning the knob since it has the ability to vary with how much you turn it. That particular one has a self cleaning feature which you activate by turning the knob the opposite way. It basically just flushes water over the nozzle.
Nah, you can get bolt-ons for like $30 on Amazon. And they work great -- I love mine.
Correction -- $22!
I got this one: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B075MMHQX7/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 You turn it on by turning a dial, so it's easy to find the right pressure. I used the washlets at Google recently and at max pressure they were still really weak, so I realized that maybe this bidet can be higher pressure than some. Mine is cold-water, but it's really ambient temperature and has never been uncomfortable, in case you've worried about that. It was very easy to install, and I know nothing about appliances, repair, etc., so if I could do it anyone can!
When I was dealing with #WaterGate for a couple months, my butthole would get a little bloody from wiping so much. I eventually got a bidet to attach to my toilet. It saved my ass, LITERALLY. My toilet paper use is dramatically lower. All you need to do it dab dry.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075MMHQX7/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Thanks for the reminder, I need to get one as a birthday gift! Theres a new slimmer one theyre getting, a little cheaper too!
I have the answer to 2.
Drop $25 on a bidet attachment. Takes 15 minutes to install. Here's one I recommend: https://www.amazon.com/Brondell-Bidet-SimpleSpa-Non-Electric-Attachment/dp/B075MMHQX7/ref=sr_1_7/147-1139475-8698134?ie=UTF8&qid=1529920128&sr=8-7&keywords=bidet&dpID=41UXz-xNppL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch
Never wipe again, have a perfectly clean, freshly-showered ass every time.
What kept me from buying one was the anxiousness of not being able to hook it up, causing a flood, basically breaking my toilet. What sold me was watching this unboxing/installation video for the model I ended up buying. The person doing the linked video isn't sponsored by them and self-describes as not an expert. I bought this brand because of how easy the installation was as shown in the video.
I've travelled in Europe many times and always avoided the bidets in my hotel rooms because I wasn't comfortable in how they worked. Now I can't wait to go back to Europe to use a 'real' bidet!
I've got this $30 one. A+ would poop again.
Bought mine online from Amazon. I bought the low priced one without heated water and I wouldn't want to live without it now. Very easy to install. Here's a link to it if you want to check it out: https://www.amazon.com/Brondell-Bidet-SimpleSpa-Non-Electric-Attachment/dp/B075MMHQX7?ref_=ast_sto_dp
This one works well if you want something inexpensive to try. I'm going to upgrade to a heated version

This Brondell has nice controls:
https://www.amazon.com/Brondell-Bidet-SimpleSpa-Non-Electric-Attachment/dp/B075MMHQX7
I have the both the Tushy and this model, and the Brondell is more ergonomic and easy to turn.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075MMHQX7/
Best $35 I ever spent.
Attach a bidet to your toilet seat and also use an anal douche like this or this to clean your ass.
A lot of people in RV forums I frequent like this:
and
I've never heard of anyone installing a proper bidet with power and hot water. Those that use the above say the water temp is good enough, but maybe they only camp when it's 100+ and a nice cool sprits is handy ;)
This is my go to, $29 US:
https://www.amazon.com/Brondell-Bidet-SimpleSpa-Non-Electric-Attachment/dp/B075MMHQX7
In my opinion, it's better than similar Tushy or Omigo attachments, I have tried them.

Maybe get her a bidet toilet seat attachment?
I bought one a couple years back and now just dry my butthole off. It's great.
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B075MMHQX7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
I have a one piece toilet and this is the one model of several I tried that fit and doesn't rock the toilet seat. Two years, never a problem.
I got this one in 2019 and ended up buying 2 more so that every toilet in my house has one, per the family demands after we got hooked on the first one. And they are still going strong. This is a cheap one, but you don't need all the special thrills. And don't worry about the water being cold. If you aim it right, it won't matter. And speaking of aiming, you just shift your hips a bit to do the aiming.

Brondell Bidet - Thinline SimpleSpa SS-150 Fresh Water Spray Non-Electric Bidet Toilet Attachment in White with Self Cleaning Nozzle
Installing it just involves removing the toilet lid and placing this under the screws before putting the lid back on. Then you just reroute your water line (usually a silver flexible or rigid hose in back coming out of the floor) through the handle of the bidet.
I really wish these would become popular in the US. I was stationed in Japan for 3 years and they are everywhere over there. You just feel so fresh and clean after using it. It cuts your usage of TP to about half too.
I have a 310 and many will fit. You want to look for something that doesn't have material between the bolt holes on the back, as the 310 has a "hump" at the back for a vacuum breaker valve.
I used this one, works very well: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075MMHQX7
Get a set of these too, or you will crank on the seat pretty bad. I use four, the two at the front with the rubber bumpers, the two at the back without the rubber bumpers, which supports the seat nicely. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B083HKY81T
Get the brondell bro. You will not regret it. Install is easy. https://www.amazon.com/Brondell-Bidet-SimpleSpa-Non-Electric-Attachment/dp/B075MMHQX7?th=1

A bidet attachment to your toilet doesn't take up any room.

The wipes are good, but this bidet attachment is even better. Hardly even need to use the TP! Just to dry and confirm cleanliness.

This is a simple Brondell Bidet that I really like. There is also an option for 2 nozzles if your in need of that as well.
Here’s a cheaper alternative: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075MMHQX7/ref=cm_sw_r_oth_api_glt_fabc_NJR212REMH46VDTTDTDH
I bought two of these for $35 each. Really like that they are thin so you don't need to adjust the seat. They work great and were easy to install.

Seems overpriced for the features. I would go with a bio bidet, luxe or brondell as you can get more features for less money, and from a brand that has been in the bidet game for many years. Here are a couple of good starter bidets that also have a low profile look:
The second is a little pricier since it is a full seat, but it doesn’t get anymore low profile. I had this one for years and most guests wouldn’t even notice we had a bidet.
Side note, I have been wondering when they will start making bidets with automatic poo-pouri dispensers. Seems like it could be a cool feature. Imo, poo-pouri would be better off partnering with one of the big bidet brands to make that a thing, rather than getting into the crowded bidet market themselves.
An easily installable one-size-fits-most bidet can be had for about thirty bucks.
Pays for itself in about a year.
This one is simple and solid:
https://www.amazon.com/Brondell-Bidet-SimpleSpa-Non-Electric-Attachment/dp/B075MMHQX7
I'm surprised no one has said an Under seat mounted bidet yet.
Well worth the $65!
I have a similar toilet by Kohler and, after 4 tries, this is the attachment that fits. Unfortunately, it's unavailable on Amazon right now but you might look on Ebay.https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B075MMHQX7/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Get a 28 dollar Brondell Thinline bidet from Amazon. Trust me you won't regret this.
TP is a distant memory to me. It's now a very primitive and pointlessly labor intensive concept.
https://www.amazon.com/Brondell-Bidet-SimpleSpa-Non-Electric-Attachment/dp/B075MMHQX7
Out of stock???
Well there goes the neighborhood... maybe somewhere else has it...
That's a bummer in case mine breaks or something (after all it is $28... I should have got a spare)...
I have [https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B075MMHQX7/](a slimmer model) but it's out of stock from Amazon proper so the prices are crazy, it was about fifty bucks when I got mine.
Go order yourself a bidet from Amazon and cut down on your toilet paper usage.
I saw bidets recommended on Reddit often and I thought "overrated" for the longest time, too. I'm 25, been wiping with nothing but toilet paper all my life, and I've made it just fine. What's the big deal?
What finally made me pull the trigger was a time I was heading out the door to go do something when I got a bad bout of diarrhea. I think I was on my way to see a movie or something... anyway, it was one of those messy bout's that took forever to get it all out and then took forever to wipe it all off. I was wiping and wiping and wiping, using sooooo much toilet paper so the watery stuff wouldn't soak through and touch my fingers, and on top of all that what pissed me off was knowing I'd need to freaking shower after to not have the lingering smell of diarrhea. In most cases wiping is enough to not smell through your cloths until your next shower, but this diarrhea was a special case. I had to cancel my plans and it was the last straw. As I sat grossed out and pissed off on the toilet, butthole rubbed raw from wiping so much (and yes I buy the good tp), I pulled the trigger and ordered a damn bidet on Amazon, because imagine if instead of having to shower, dry off, re-dress, re-do my hair, re-apply deodorant, etc., all I had to do was wash with the bidet. I'd have been fine! It's literally like a targeted shower just for your bumhole. Plus it would have taken 5-10 seconds instead of the freaking minutes I spent wiping. Like every time I was almost done, I'd have to shit some more and all my progress was lost! This rarely happens, though, and alone it probably isn't enough to justify buying a bidet, so let me explain the ways it's improved my life on an everyday basis.
I don't have to put my hand near shit. I know we don't think about it because it's become routine, but after you get a bidet you realize how gross it is when you #2 somewhere other than your home.
I rarely have to look at shit. I'm the kind of guy who wipes until the TP is perfectly clean. This means that when I don't use a bidet I have to see shit every time I check the TP I just wiped with until it comes back clean. With a bidet it's 100% clean on the first wipe 95% of the time.
I finish wiping super fast. I run the bidet for 5-10 seconds and then wipe once or twice with 2 squares of tp just to dry the clean water off.
My bum is CLEAN. Literally cleaner than before I took a shit because bidets wash the sweat & stuff off too. Who can say their ass feels cleaner after they took a shit?! Think about it... if you got shit on your hands you wouldn't just wipe them dry with dry napkins because they'd still reek of shit and have a shitty residue on them. That's your ass when all you do is wipe with dry toilet paper. Now there's no soap in bidet water, it's just tap, but imagine how much infinitely better it would be to wash your hands with water, wipe them with wet napkins, and then dry off with dry ones. You get all the residue, too.
I save money! I went from using a minimum of ~12 squares of TP (4+4+2+2, and often even more) to a maximum of 4 (2+2). The bidet was a 1 time purchase of ~$25, pays for itself in TP savings in 6 months - a year, and then you're saving money indefinitely from then on.
using a fraction of the amount of TP I was using before means I rarely have to change the TP roll because rolls of TP last me 3-4x longer. Go from changing your TP roll once every 2 weeks to changing it once every 2 months. A 6 pack will last you a freaking year.
Having to shit right after you got out the shower is a non-issue.
Diarrhea is much less dreaded.
Never again rub your bumhole raw.
It's just overall much more hygienic! Your bum's cleaner, your hands are cleaner, you feel better, and smell better. It takes a lot of the grossness out of going #2 that we've become accustomed to.
This is the one I have: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075MMHQX7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_DSPqEb30JX5NP
I chose this one because it's relatively simple and discreet. The amount of pressure in the stream depends on how far you turn the knob. It'll just trickle if you barely turn it and practically pressure wash if you turn it all the way. I use a little more than a trickle... I guess comparable pressure to that of a water fountain. It feels different the first 2-3 days but you get used to it after that.
No need. You can attach one to your toilet. I have this one, but there are many other options: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075MMHQX7/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_4ovaDbQ7EXXFW
it's easy to install. takes about 10 min
