The ones I am thinking about are like this. https://www.amazon.com/Brother-DS-640-Compact-Document-Scanner/dp/B083R36CY4/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=portable+scanner&qid=1624489230&sr=8-6
I would want to do quite a number of test runs before putting my artwork in there.
u/olivercer The scanner i have right now is an ADF Brother DS-640. It was only $100 at best buy and supports up to 24 bit color with 1200dpi. I am using it to digitize some of my old b/w photography and its pretty great for the price. Their software is a bit lacking but for some reason creates clearer scans than the windows default software. I might post some pictures later.
I just use this one, there are some for not much more that you don’t have to keep feeding one by one. I like the portability though
I think you're thinking of the ones attached to printers. Portable ones are only a few inches wide and a little longer than a piece of paper. I'm attaching and Amazon link for one I was referring to. https://www.amazon.com/Brother-DS-640-Compact-Document-Scanner/dp/B083R36CY4/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1DWMB77T925QQ&keywords=portable%2Bdocument%2Bscanner&qid=1648659181&sprefix=%2Caps%2C501&sr=8-3&th=1
I never liked the combo machines because if one part broke the whole thing sort of becomes useless.
I just have a little feed scanner like this one though https://www.amazon.com/Brother-DS-640-Compact-Document-Scanner/dp/B083R36CY4/
External document scanner. Sorry if I wasnt specific, kinda like this https://www.amazon.com/Brother-DS-640-Compact-Document-Scanner/dp/B083R36CY4/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=document+scanner&qid=16033992
