Liberty and Cannon make rock-solid safes. I love my Cannon. I suggest picking up an electric dehumidifier for it, so you don't have to worry about "recharging" the bags of silica gel by drying them out in your oven. Cannon and Liberty also have pistol pouches that can adhere to your door. I've got an 8-pistol set for the inside of my Cannon with room for more pistols -- it's all modular vel-cro stuff.
BTW, no safe is "fire proof" -- they're "fire rated" for a certain temperature for a certain amount of time. Seeing as how I live about 1/10th of a mile from a fire station and directly across the street from a fire hydrant, I opted to get a 60 minute, 1200 degree model to save some cash. They make more fire resistant safes, but since I live in a suburban area with a firehouse nearby, I should be good with what I got.
The best thing about Cannon and Liberty safes is the warranty. Basically, if someone tries to break into it and damages it, they'll replace it for free. If it's in a fire, they'll replace it for free. If there's a mechanical defect, they'll replace it for free. You can't beat a warranty like that.
