I’ve never tried the floor heating but I can attest to the fact that the buckwheat pillows are amazing. Years ago, when I first got married, my mother-in-law gave me one that looked like this. https://www.amazon.com/Sachi-Organics-Buckwheat-Cylinder-Pillow/dp/B00020NRIK/ref=sr_1_6?crid=29XC5017CB5C2&dchild=1&keywords=korean+buckwheat+pillow&qid=1624802951&sprefix=Korean+buck%2Caps%2C221&sr=8-6
I used it all the time but it got lost when we moved and now you’ve reminded me of it and I miss it a lot. Need to get another one ASAP. Lol
I'm not going to claim that it's odd. I do a lot of odd things myself but if I saw that when I slept over, I'd probably go home. And for the record, I've never seen this before and I've slept over with a lot of guys.
Get yourself one of these instead.
Tried variety of pillows as well (soft, med, firm, tempurpedic, regular, down etc. but still woke up with sore neck and back. I’m a side and back sleeper btw. The only thing that provides me a good support is a buckwheat pillow.
I ordered one from amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00020NRIK?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I use a buckwheat bolster like this one. Mine has a zipper where you can add or remove buckwheat to make it a better fit.

I've been a side sleeper all of my life. I had tried sleeping on my back before, but either it hurts, or I wind up on my side anyway sometime during the night.
Some months ago, I had some health issues that forced me to sleep on my back, and after some research I wound up buying the Buckwheat Cylinder Neck Pillow from Sachi Organics. It was amazing. It's super comfortable to sleep on on both my back and even on my side (though I do generally prefer a slight softer pillow for sleeping on my side). It's really perfect for back-sleeping.
It's quite firm and can be good for propping my head up when I need to look forward while lying down. It's completely natural and organic, it doesn't smell like anything or off-gas any weird, nasty chemical smells like some other products I've bought in the past, so I feel completely safe sleeping on it and keeping it close to my face. I'm super pleased with it.
I've bought a ton of stuff from Amazon. 90% of the things I have in my apartment I've bought on Amazon, so I have a lot of experience buying from Amazon and trying/evaluating their products, and this particular pillow might be the one item I've bought from Amazon that I am most pleased with -- definitely in the top 2 or 3. So I can not recommend it highly enough.
The one thing to keep in mind is that you will need a pillow cover for it, and since it's not a standard size or shape pillow, you'll need a specially sized pillowcase for it. This 6x16 Inch White Cotton-Blend Zippered Bolster Cylindrical Pillow Cover from ReynosoHomeDecor worked well enough for me, but it's plain white and not very soft, so it wasn't ideal, though it did fit. I wound up asking a friend who was in to sewing to sew me a nicer pillowcase from a high-thread-count fabric, and that has worked out well.
