What exactly are these loopholes? Sq ft? Building a building on "farm land"/ lot with a house already on it? I realize you may be able to get around building it as a shed or something but what happens when you want to hook up to the internet or electricity or sewage? ie could you re-sell this house as an actual dwelling?
I'm not trying to dissuade you or anything, but I haven't found examples of cob houses hooked up to utilities. If I were to build a cob house I'd want to at least have the option of living on the grid.
Seeing as you like eyecandy (pinterest) Building Green by Snell and Callahan has a lot of color pictures of alternative building practices and does a good job with explaining each practice and the pro's and con's. I own a few other books, I believe this one and this one, which are alright but I definitely think doing a workshop is the way to go.
When you get further into your design and plan you should give us an update, I know I'd be interested. But for future reference, a lot of redditors dislike people just linking to pinterest or whatever without a decent explanation. Most people who read this subreddit have already heard of many different building techniques so sending us off to do the research outself isn't really the point.
