I'm using this adapter with a rev 1 reverb g2 and a v2 cable, with the DP adapter connected to the left side USB-C port (the one next to the headphone jack) and the cable's USB-C to the rear one (labelled USB-PD). There are plenty of these that work just make sure it's display port 1.4 and the specs are as good or better than this one.

should work. But, AFAIK g-sync is only supported on displayport connections and HDMI does not support g-sync. So, if you want to use g-sync, sadly, you have to use DP (you can not use any HDMI cable/converter as you will lose g-sync signal).

I believe this is it, but I do not know what to check (If it carries g-sync signal etc.), so please do not buy this directly before searching/being sure this is what you need.

This works.
I use it for my g2 on my laptop.

In my experience, dangling too many USB-C/MST/DP adapters behind each other will always lead to some of these edge cases.

You could this adapter which recently proved to be the most powerful for VR on XMG FUSION 15 (without dock), but if that fails, I would just kind of give up at this point. Use either dock or VR headset, but not both at the same time. // Tom
