"Drago" (Thomas Dzieran) was a US Navy SEAL with Com.Jocko Willink, Chris Kyle ("America's Deadliest Sniper"), and Rob O'Neill (SEAL who shot Osama bin Laden)... and many more.
Drago was born in Poland, arrested as a political prisoner, after prison was allowed to immigrate to the US. At 31 decided to become a SEAL despite his poor English ability. Became a well respected US SEAL. Then was often used (because of his ability to speak Polish and Russian) was used to cross-train with the GROM/SEALs (sometimes missions together, sometimes Drago was the only US SEAL in GROM units to relay with US forces).
Several great videos of SEALs having video reunion podcasts (with Drago) show how much they respect him. He is a crazy tough mf! And his candid style of no BS makes him great to listen to.
He talks about being in-country for 6 months with the GROM because his commander changed and the new one didn't know he was still over there. Only got called back home when he couldn't get fresh batteries for his night-vision.
There is a book written by a highly decorated GROM operator that talks about Drago in his book (from the GROM perspective) called: "<em>Camp Pozzi" written by Naval</em>.
