May i suggest a $15 backpacking stove if you work somewhere without power that is cool with an open flame.
Its part of my camping gear and i used it when we were rewiring a property (i worked property maintenance). That stove with my kettle was enough to make hot water for 4 people whenever we wanted more coffee.
I am in East Bay and have this stove. If interested, you can pick it up, then drop off or mail back when done.
I believe it is this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07R79766L/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Oz3cFb0JX1GRF
This portable burner and pot/coffee maker w/cups are cheap and have good reviews
ebay or craigslist? sometime REI has sales and 20% coupons if you're a member.
as much as i hate amazon, i got my pocket rocket for $10 from them. it's been my go-to for since 2015.
I keep it in this GSI Cookset along with my gas canister. i can't camp without it.
I suggest neither. Go super simple.
