I don't know if some of you are serious when giving advice on here. Anyway, fleas do not find humans as suitable hosts. We do not have the adequate temperature for them to live and breed on us. We also don't have fur which is another reason why they don't choose us as hosts. Yes the fleas will bite you and although you may see one on you they will move on to look for the perfect host. The reason why the OP is having quite the issue is because of their cat. The cat is the perfect host. If you're not treating the cat for fleas then you're not getting to the root of the problem. You can buy a product called Capstar it will kill the fleas within 30 minutes. However, this product only last in their system for one day. You also have to buy a monthly flea prevention for your cat whether it be topical or oral. You also have to make sure to clean and treat your home. Most likely there will be some fleas still left in your home. Although humans aren't the perfect host usually blankets, carpet fibers, and pet bedding and become the next best thing. I don't necessarily think you going to training will spread fleas to other people or your gym. There might be a possibility but it's highly unlikely. If you want to be mindful and extra careful I'm sure your gym would appreciate it. I will link down below a few products that may help. These products are over the counter. These products work well but the veterinary prescribed work better. However, If you can't get your cat to the vet these products will still be super helpful. I'm a Veterinary Technician I hope you find this information helpful.
