I get the boxes on Amazon for $15 each and they are my preferred storage container for commons and uncommons. I looked at the dimensions and wanted to see how Planechase would fit in the box. Turns out it fits very nicely. I haven't sleeved the tokens yet. I am also going to get a dual flip box to store the planar cards for when I don't want to treat it as a board game.
EDIT: Chaos Reigns upside down was a mistake but I'm going to embrace it. Also the cardboard boxes were pretty beaten up and the planar cards have lots of scuffs on the edges. All in all I'm not impressed with the overall quality but I'll have fun with the new wrench in the gears of Magic games.
I love KMC Card Barrier Boxes. I've got one for my 600 card cube and it comfortably fits the whole thing + lands.
This is the box I use. I got one of these at Kmart something like ten years ago. I have another that's much larger that I got at the same place, but haven't managed to find a replacement.
I’ve double sleeved everything and buy a new one of these every few waves.
Card Box 1000 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0007N7P8K?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
The most recent expansion made four a really really tight squeeze so I recently got a fifth and it’s roughly one for heroes, one for villains, one for modular sets and campaign cards, one for aspect cards, and one for spillover, tokens, and allies.
There really isn't a great budget option for that many decks. If the big Dungeon and Game Cases from Ultimate Guard & Game Genic are out of your budget, you can always try the KMC Carrier Barrier Case. It's one of the more "efficient" options in my opinion.
Seconding this, it's one of my go to family games because of how easy it is to learn but still offering some depth. It's not a perfect game and I wouldn't want to play hours upon hours of it but if you're looking to maybe play a round or two to start it's a good one.
If you end up with the expansions I would recommend picking up a box like this one for holding all the cards as well as the tokens. I have every expansion but one of them now I think and they're all sleeved and can fit them all in this box + the tokens.
Do it! Once you have a collection of cards organized into cube form, you'll see how easy it is. The first one I built I was obsessed with making sure every slot was perfect, and it stifled the purpose of all of this which is to have fun designing a limited environment.
Grab a cube storage box (I use this one - https://www.amazon.com/KMC-Card-Box-1000/dp/B0007N7P8K), a bunch of matching sleeves, and go for it!
I use KMC Card Barrier Boxes. I fit two decks in each of the large partitions, and use the small partitions for tokens and sideboard cards/cards I'm trying out. I've found them to be far superior to the BCW cardboard boxes I used before. More durable and less risk of damage. Been using them for about 4 years, never had any issues.
A lot of people like this thing. I haven't used it, but my friend talks it up. I have all of my decks in Boulder deck boxes and stored in Arkhives and they work beautifully (and look nice). I also keep my trades sorted and in the fatpack / bundle boxes. They're sturdy, stand the cards up-right for easy searching, and you can toss in some plastic dividers to make categories. If you are looking at larger, long-term storage boxes then the corrugated ones you are using are probably the best.
My friend and I each use this KMC box for our cubes. It's the best option I've seen to keep the overall size of the cube compact. It easily fits in a backpack and is ideal for travel.
I hold a 430 cards cube + 180 basic lands + 130 tokens. All single sleeved and it leaves some wiggle room. Some Amazon reviews do claim that it'll fit 700 double sleeved as well.
I bought a bunch of the Card Box 1000s from Amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0007N7P8K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_R-dyFbV8EDH79
I really like them. A bit expensive but they hold sleeved cards nicely, in addition to regular bulk. They’re sturdy and will provide more protection from the elements than the standard cardboard boxes.

This is double the price it is in Japan, but might be reasonable. I have two of these for Magic, and they are good for both sleeved and unsleeved cards, and have inner compartments that may or may not fit your needs.
This isn't anything fancy but 1000ct KMC Box is really sturdy, I used to store my EDH battlebox in one & me and the hubby store our standard/modern/pauper collection in them as well :)
I got two of these 1000 card boxes and they work pretty well. I can fit 6 100 card, single sleeved decks and another two 60/75 card decks (1 if I want to use a slot for dice/tokens). If only storing 60/75 card decks, then you should be able to fit somewhere between 9 and 11 decks, depending on how tightly you want to pack the cards in.
These are a nice size for me because I can fit two of the boxes in my backpack.
If they are sleeved, i would suggest the kmc 1000 box. I have 1 for my modern stuff and one for my legacy stuff. I have them sorted by color and and have been super happy.

For Dominion, I don't know about snap together boxes but I use KMC Card Boxes for mine. One box fits three regular sized expansions. This is great when you don't own all the expansions or if you want a modular solution.
Sleeves: Single sleeved original Dragon Shields. I have the process of double sleeving and all it really does is make the cards uncomfortable to shuffle and protect them from spills from drinks that shouldn't have been on the table to begin with
Boxes: This box is life.
It does require using some dividers since the compartments are fixed, but it fits 8 sleeved decks very nicely.
Kmc 1000 card box. Holds exactly 8 edh decks. I have 8 in mine, sleeved with dragon shield matte (the thickest sleeves you will find), and about 10 double sleeved cards in each deck on average, so there is a bit of extra room.
You can also find it on ebay. Recommended!
Only bad part is the unsymmetrical space dividers, but thats not much of an issue. Its actually makes it perfect if you want 6 decks + dice and tokens..
This card box is more expensive now but you might be able to find it cheaper. I love it as it holds just about all the spell cards while sleeved.
Okay, sounds good. If you're open to spending about $15-20, this box is fantastic. It fit a double-sleeved 540 cube plus 225 basic lands snugly. It'll definitely fit 720 single-sleeved just fine, though you may want to pick up a cardboard box for the basic lands.
I know you're looking for a box for a single deck, but here's what I'm using (despite the ghetto amazon page):
I'm not sure about the "1000" card claim, but so far I can fit 7 commander decks plus a boatload of tokens in there, so if you're eventually in the market for compact storage of larger quantities of cards in a single container, this thing has treated me well since day one.
I'd also like to add it likely fits far more than what I have in it - everything is comfortably situated, not tight at all. So it could probably fit up to 8 decks + tokens if you work it right.
I have all of the expansions and have every card sleeved in dragon shield sleeves. These boxes fit sleeved cards perfectly. You might need a couple boxes to fit everything at this point but they are well worth the money. These boxes aren't the same as the plano card boxes or other competitors. The others just don't fit sleeved cards at all.
> I'd love to go up to a more accurate ratio like 6-3-1/1 but storing that is space and cost prohibitive (especially with double sleeving)
The ratio makes minimal difference. I calculated out the advantage to going to 3 uncommons (for an 80 uncommon set), and on average only 2 uncommons will show up in triples. Going to 5 or 6 commons does cause a bit of difference, but it's really hard to justify the space. 4-2-1/1 single-sleeved for one set (plus a bunch of tokens) fits very nicely in this.
The biggest advantage of upping the number of commons is that seeing 2 or 3 of a common early on in pack 1 doesn't imply that they're going to be running dry for the rest of the draft if you increaese your common count.
I store my lands separately since I use them for several cubes. I guess I can shell out $30 on sleeves to have dedicated lands for my cubes, but then storage gets messy.
I believe I heard about this one from one of ProfessorSTAFF's YouTube videos.
No personal experience but I'm a huge fan of KMC products.
KMC Card Barrier box fits a double-sleeved 450 just about perfectly.
Thank you! It's the product below with glued elements from the core box, in case you're interested

I researched this myself a while ago and it seemed that there are two good options: 1) boxes and 2) binders.
The benefit of a well-organized box is that I find it a little quicker to access the cards (especially when sleeved) and a pretty box will look nicer on a shelf. Some boxes allow for storage of your tokens and decks as well.
The benefit of a binder is that it is easier to see all your cards and that you can just have a binder per set so it is easily extended.
Personally, I decided to go with a box for now and liked the following options from cheaper to more expensive:
The sets you mentioned are 644 cards. If you'd add the Ashes Cycle you would hit 1034. However, there are duplicates and rules cards in there that you won't need so you might be able to get to 1,000. If you are thinking of just sticking with what you have or only completing Borealis, any of the options above will suffice.
As for me, I decided to go with 2 boxes: https://www.reddit.com/r/Netrunner/comments/vyz8ne/a_storage_solution_for_a_nisei_8_player_game_night/
I have a big box from Etsy (link above) that stores 2700 sleeved cards which should cover 6 NISEI sets with enough room left to easily browse the cards, and a smaller more transportable case that carries 8 decks. (Note that the collection depicted includes the Ashes cycle as well as hundreds of proxy cards.)
The box will likely run out of space at some point, but I will deal with that when that happens. I don't think you can really future-proof this well. NISEI already decided to rebrand themselves so my box with the NISEI brand on it is already outdated and referring to something that soon will cease to exist. I don't really care, though. It is really fun to sift through the cards and create decks with it.
Always be running!
Use casino chips for XP and some stand in for money. You don't want to keep updating the character sheets as you play
Do one off's with all the classes before you pick classes you want to stick with
Understand that the first mission is going to be more brutal then you are expecting
Remember you can only reroll a dice once no matter what unless something explicitly tell you to ignore that rule
This box will hold all cards for the first two core sets no problem
Get business card holders for holding the different stacks of cards so you don't use up as much table space
If you have a 3D printer you can find various token holders to print otherwise I recommend one of those jewelry/art boxes for sorting out tokens into
You will realize that it takes a while to find the right map tile, you can improve this by using a file hanging cabinet + folders. I recently got this portable cabinet that I really like because it can fit about 4 worlds per box and it has a container section on top to hold the advanced encounter cards I set aside
I dont know how many cards he has in his collection but might I suggest the BCW Card Box . This box is sturdy hard plastic and can fit a lot of loose cards as well as sleeved cards.
Get the case and a binder with card sleeve-pages for his rare cards.
It's a bit pricy, at $22 or so, but this is pretty much the exact product you're describing, and I can vouch for it being a great choice for storing your cards:
These are extremely excellent. I’ve moved all of my cards from the traditional cardboard boxes to these:
Card Box 1000 https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0007N7P8K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fab_MXEGFbK6YYKAB
I have the base game and Prosperity in this box:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007N7P8K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I've heard good things about these and see players at my LGS with them occassionally. Pricey but apparently sturdy and will fit sleeved cards.

I use a big clear plastic box that KMC makes for my EDH decks. It will hold 6 double sleeved EDH decks in total.
I've been moving away from BCW cardboard boxes to these: Card Box 1000. I really like them and they're in between the BCWs and really high end stuff like Aaron Cain custom storage. A similar option that some people like is this one: Stack 'n' Safe Deck Box (480 Cards). Also, /U/professorSTAFF just did a review of some nice options by DEX Protection: https://youtu.be/q8uVQmPU334
I use the KMC Card Box 1000 for my rares, mythics and common/uncommons that get a lot of play or value. I still am keeping the bulk rares in those same boxes 4 per penny sleeve.
For bulk common/uncommon I put four per penny sleeve and put them in the BCW boxes divided by color then set. I use the BCW 1600 ct shoe boxes mainly. I divided them one step further into common, uncommon using some little dividers to save time finding and sorting future cards.
Beyond that I use trading binders for my trades, some random BCW boxes, fat pack boxes, etc for things like tokens, basic lands and whatever. I keep fat pack box sitting on my desk to put cards that need to be sorted.
My 360 is stored in the KMC 1000 Cardbox, which fits all the cards, 200 lands, and a couple hundred tokens nice and tightly. It's a little annoying to squeeze them out of the box, but it helps keep foils from warping and holds everything securely in transit.
My sleeves are KMC Perfect Fits inside of KMC Mattes (NOT Hyper Mattes). This is an older product that is no longer being made. The back is matte, but not pebbled/textured like on the hypers. Doesn't shuffle quite as well but also doesn't pick up anywhere near as much dirt. I got a big batch of them on eBay almost exactly a year ago when I first assembled my cube. With a couple dozen drafts on them I have done one full cleaning of the outer sleeves by dry rubbing the dirt of each card individually with the little cotton discs used for makeup removal. It's really due for another cleaning soon.
Remember that if you're using clear sleeves you'll have to use placeholder cards for any double-faced cards you decide to run in the future. That would be a deal breaker for me.
I'm using one of these:
It's currently way too big for the number of released cards, but I'm playing the long game, here.
I use one of these Harbor Freight cases. The foam is perforated into squares so you can remove it to make custom spots for deck boxes. For my standard and modern decks, I made individual slots for deck boxes to fit.
For my commander decks, I removed all of the foam except one layer around the end and one divider up the middle. Then pop 2 of the KMC Card Box 1000's in there and it holds 16 decks pretty perfectly.
Probably not the best for taking a single deck to a tournament or storing the whole first set, but not bad for now. I used a KMC Card Barrier Box, available on Amazon and typically shipped out of Japan for about $15.
I cut the interior dice trays out of 2x starter sets to fit the larger container openings:
There is room for another 40'ish dice below the trays. Lots of room for 2x decks and the rest of your cards:
Looking forward to see what other people come up with whether it be tackle boxes, laser etched build-a-box, or something else. Thanks for checking it out!

This is perfect for storing most set cubes (at 4x each common / 2x each common / 1x selection of rares and mythic rares).
KMC Card Box 1000 - $14.60
This is a good start for a Theros Set Cube (Theros just because I could find this for cheaper)
Theros Uncommon Playset + 500 Commons - $18.99
It's a brand of sleeves/gaming supplies.
I recently learned a lot about card sleeves from this YouTube channel and from /r/MagicTCG.
A couple of things I concluded
Personally I plan do double sleeves SW Destiny with KMC Perfect Size and KMC Hyper Mat Black. I ordered enough so I could sleeve 240 cards.
Also take a look at [this(https://www.amazon.com/KMC-Card-Box-1000/dp/B0007N7P8K) card box from KMC]. It seems perfect for SW Destiny and is supposedly great quality.
