a long time ago I posted about potential fakes on this sub. The best answer I got is there is absolutely no reason to not own one of these as a magic player: https://www.amazon.com/Carson-MicroBrite-60x-120x-Lighted-Microscope/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=pocket+microscope&qid=1600983475&sr=8-3
I check any card I buy over $15 now.
My advice to anyone who will listen to me is to get this item from Amazon:
It's a pocket microscope that is perfect for doing the green dot test (Google it for more detail if unsure) on cards. I've gotten counterfeit cards that were only $25 or so, so it's not inconceivable for people to be counterfeiting rhystic studies. It's a great tool that will give peace of mind, and pays for itself the first time you find a counterfeit. Really can't recommend this enough!
Like this kind of thing: https://www.amazon.ca/Carson-60X-120X-Lighted-Pocket-Microscope/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=trichome+microscope&qid=1621385740&sr=8-5
Yeah they aren't great. But they'll let you see the colors of your trichomes, spot powdery mildew and see tiny bugs. Best you can hope for for $20.
Good catch. I see it too. Also, little white dots on the leaves could be thripes. Not that these are. You'd need a microscope to confirm between the two. Or if you have both, which would be awful.
But, there's a microscope online that was the best present under $20 I got for myself to study my plants.
I look at their leaves all the time under this thing. It's so cool.
Treatment is going to depend partially on the ID. Could be fruit flies or phorid flies just going off size and what I can see of color from here. An extreme close up (use a magnifying glass if you have it) would definitely help. A pocket microscope is by far the best identification tool you can buy for the money. I recommend that one because I bought it and am super happy with it.
Either way though, the most effective treatment is always going to be removing the food source. They both feed on decaying and dead stuff, as well as the fungi that decay those things. Could be rotten fruit/veg in the pantry, a lot of leftover feces in the yard, animal cages (rabbit, guinea pig, hamster...), dead animal close to house or in crawl/attic, trash, etc.
The problem is that they don't always hang out around the actual breeding and feeding sites, so finding a concentration isn't always going to point to the infestation. A thorough inspection is what deals with them.
I got this one from Amazon. Cost about $10. I like that it's portable, so you can put it on any sample. Like all microscopes, it only focuses on a specific distance at a time (adjusted with the focus knob), so it works best if you can hold it up against the sample or on a flat surface to keep it still. All these pictures were taken with the zoom at the minimum position (60x magnification).
It works really well for the price, but if you/your daughter want to take a lot of pictures, I would recommend getting something else. Either a full-sized stand microscope with a camera mount, or the same company makes some slightly more expensive ones with mounts for smartphones. I don't think they had one for my phone, so I had to strap it on with rubber bands to get these pictures.
It’s hard to know exactly what is happening without pics, but it does sound like OE since a few managed to make it to a butterfly. If they have NPV or another bacteria, they will die as a caterpillar. I’m in California and it is very prevalent here. Many of us have a plant which we collect eggs from, bring them inside and do a bleach treatment, and then raise them with milkweed that has also been bleached even if they are covered plants. Even with all this intervention, a few manage to have OE. It’s very easy to test for OE, there is a good video on Dr. Lund Science and this a a good and inexpensive microscope Carson MicroBrite Plus 60x-120x... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LAX52IQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
That’s the one I use
Id recommend checking for spider mites just to be safe. Something cheap like This would work since they are microscopic. If you see any white or clear things that look like water droplets you have found eggs
I had similar looking growth on my first grow and it turns out those fuckers are so small you only notice them when they are starting to get bad. I did everything I could but next week it kept creeping up. Bought that microscope and instantly confirmed it. Still don't know how I got them either it was mid winter
It could just be the plant doing it's thang due to not enough light or something. But since it's so cheap to have piece
Get yourself one of these. I sharpen a little then check the edge. You can see every scratch in the metal so you can determine if you're doing a good job. You can also see the wires that form when you've got one side good.
Also finishing the blade on a leather strop is not optional. It cleans the edge up real nice.
Too blurry but just buy this. Carson MicroBrite Plus 60x-120x LED Lighted Zoom Pocket Microscope with Aspheric Lens System https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_tredGbS1GJY18
It’s a microscope for looking at trichomes. Pgr weed will have no trichomes kn it. Pull this thing out in front of ur plug and have a look. If the trichomes are 100% there it’ll look like a shaft with a ball on top, lowkey like a dick. Alotta plugs before they sell to BM dealers will sift their grow for keif first, taking off the trichome heads leaving only the shafts. You can see this with the scope, they’ll be just lil white sticks u see, same as the full trichomes just headless. Pgr will have very few shafts so that’s what you should examine with the microscope
You can’t tell if something is PGR just by looking at a pic of it. People will tell you they can but you can’t, they don’t see it as clearly as you, and can’t examine the trichs
I really don't understand this sub and it's attraction to these things, the jewlers loops, or the microscopes everyone says is so great yet when they post pics that clearly show they're not great. Idk, maybe they mean it's for picture taking?
This $12 handheld microscope is far and away THE best thing you could use. Like, EVER. I can look at every single trichome individually or as a field of trichomes. I can see exactly where my strawberry eclair leaf turns from green to black under the trichomes. In absolute perfect detail. Not trying to over sell but it's pretty freaking great. Even as a color blind person this makes it hard to screw up.
I guess if it's for the pics and imaginary internet points then rock on. But if you actually want to knowthe exact perfect time to harvest all the work you've accumulated then I recommend looking into getting one of these.
What are you seeing? I'm color blind as well and also have trouble distinguishing between colors. For me, most of the time the clear trichomes appear black. Not because their black but because they're nothing for light to bounce off of.
There are 3 stages. Clear, cloudy, and amber. Get accustomed to looking at the trichomes a lot. Lmao I'll cut a leaf and inspect it closely for several days when close to harvest. But will start when I know for sure they're still all clear to get accustomed.
I'd recommend grabbing one of these handheld microscopes instead of the ones commonly used by growers in this sub. It will allow you to very close at the trichomes. You can zoom all the way down to just one single trichome or back out and get a field view.
I hope this helps or you at least get it figured out.
You might have already made your decision, but one of the best tools I've bought is this $13 microscope - it takes all the guesswork out for me. Great looking plant!
*Edited to include the UK link on Amazon
Im no professional but I think your to far away with the Loupe.
Personally i use this 15$ thing from amazon it has 60-120x zoom.
Edit: Ninja'd by /u/MySecretGardenIsDope
I think I have the perfect solution for you OP.
This is what I use after trying various loupes and lenses and magnifying glass type solutions.
I snip off a small piece of leaf and then place it under this small microscope on a stable surface and it's easy to see all the tricomes in perfect clarity and different depths of field while removing any sort of blurriness or shakiness caused by trying to hold a lens or loupe up close to the plant itself.
I am a dad and a 5th grade science teacher. I have several microscopes. By far the best "bang-for-your-buck is something like THIS. It is portable and durable. You can look at everything from biological specimens to the ink dots which produce colors.
Then next step up would be a hobby-level compound monocular microscope which go for about $100 and are nice if what you want to do is look at prepared slides or prepare your own.
Another option is a digital scope with a screen. This can be nice because the two of you can look at things together at the same time without having to alternate who has access to the eye piece.
Would this be a good pocket microscope for detecting pests on my house plants?
these are the best IMO it is a learning curve but once you figure it out, it’s indispensable. I also have the cheap jeweler loupes from Amazon.
They make these durable, portable, hand-held microscopes now, and I keep one in the trunk of my car. They're actually really fun and affordable. I mention it here just because it makes a great gift for someone of any age. There are many different models.
I just finished my first grow, too. I bought a janky microscope from Amazon.
The hardest part is holding yourself still, but after awhile you get used to it. Definitely worth having.
A ways to go. 4,5 weeks. You don’t want big pistils like that. They should all be tiny and red. At any rate the trichomes are where you really gauge it. For that you need a magnifier.
I recommend this: https://www.amazon.com/Carson-MicroBrite-60x-120x-Lighted-Microscope/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=12Q8MAV5ZQV07&keywords=carlson+magnifier&qid=1659749600&sprefix=carlson+magni%2Caps%2C154&sr=8-3
> also should I order a magnifying glass?
A plain magnifying glass might be a bit difficult to use unless you have very steady hands and no fans on at the time. I prefer to take a very small clipping of a bud and use a usb or handheld microscope to view the trichomes. Checking trichomes is really the only accurate way to tell if the plant is ready.
I use this one and it works quite well for my needs although there are definitely better ones out there.
I've had this for a couple years works good
Here’s what I use. Takes a little practice to hold steady but you can see a lot more than with a jewelers loupe. Carson MicroBrite Plus 60x-120x Power LED Lighted Pocket Microscope https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_E7FQB5R9W3VBC28SJS0Z
https://www.amazon.com/Carson-MicroBrite-60x-120x-Lighted-Microscope/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=1EJVYF01DDBZ8&keywords=pocket+microscope&qid=1647998279&sprefix=pocket+micro%2Caps%2C124&sr=8-3 it's a little bit above $10, but this thing has saved me well over $1500 at this point. Having the tools and the knowledge to verify cards bought off of eBay and even tcgplayer is priceless, and I can't suggest people buy this little doo-dad enough!
I have one of those mini ones on Amazon. Is it top quality? No. But for $13, it fits in my purse and magnifies up to 120x, which is enough to get an up close look at grains of sand. Makes a great stocking stuffer.
Here ya go!
Carson MicroBrite Plus 60x-120x Power LED Lighted Pocket Microscope https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_4XGNXADTYHXE2S91W9TB
Focus is a bit finicky because it’s such high mag so the most minute movements can send it in and out of focus. It doesn’t really have a low power mode, but it’s really straight forward to use.
Just through a cheap kids pocket microscope! You can hold your phone camera lens to the eyepiece and photograph at magnification. Highly recommend having one around, I admit I use it more than my kid does to check stuff out up close!
Carson MicroBrite Plus 60x-120x Power LED Lighted Pocket Microscope https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_BX6PYXWGF3SZD5DED0GA
If you want a closer view, you can try a cheap microscope that sends live video to your phone through Wi-Fi. You can snap stills and such. I bought this one.
You have to fiddle around to get the focus right, but once you do, you don't have to set it again: just press in a bit closer when it's blurry. I clean mine with an alcohol wipe before pressing it against the plant.
this is the kind of thing I mean. Fairly cheap too - those are Australian dollars.
Yeah, it depends on your eyesight. I haven't had much adjusting "pocket microscopes" or USB electronic microscopes to focus on anything while moving them around on the plant, but they work for some people.
Ive had this forever works great
A small handheld microscope from Amazon is what I use. Pretty cheap and takes the guess work out of harvest.
Got this off Amazon, super cheap and easy to use. I clip off a small but of a sugar leaf and place it on a table to zoom. It's been very handy.
Ps I’ve got a little set (almost toy level). They say 30x. but I am gonna get something like this which is $20 and up x120. Just not gonna buy it from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com.au/Carson-MicroBrite-Lighted-Pocket-Microscope/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=asc_df_B00LAX52IQ/?tag=googleshopdsk-22&linkCode=df0&hvadid=341792345759&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=15096995615303443216&hvpone=&hvptwo...
I have to adjust to adjust the focus but yes it does. This is the microscope i have. I have a loupe too but I personally like the higher magnification. It does flip the image upside down but for $12 I'll live with it.
Thank you recommending these two loupes! I’m currently looking for a loupe or two with a wider field of view and I’ll check these out. I’m currently using a Carson MicroBrite but it has 60x-120x magnification which is just too much a lot of the time.
I use the Carson-MicroBrite-60x-120x-Lighted-Microscope
I used the Carson MicroBrite Plus 60x-120x zoom
Hi - I'm looking into getting a loupe as well. would you recommend the one you linked vs a microscope such as this one?
A lot of people get fancy USB ones you can hook to the computer but as far as portable one's go, I got the Carson Microbite plus 60x-120x not to long ago and it's been great. Pretty easy to take pictures through your phone too just takes a bit of practice👍
Lansky is good. If you can swing the cost (around $200) the KME system is a similar but much nicer option.
I used a lansky 5 stone for a long time. If you get a lansky, just make sure you follow their instructions about flattening the rods. Its very important that they're perfectly flat with the stone.
I'd also recommend picking up a pocket microscope like this one. It really helps as a beginner to be able to have a close up view of the edge and how its effected by the stones as you work.
That's actually just a case but yes the one pictured. Heres a link: https://www.amazon.com/Carson-MicroBrite-60x-120x-Lighted-Microscope/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=pd_aw_fbt_img_2/131-2961813-3369759?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B00LAX52IQ&pd_rd_r=23fb131f-bd2c-4b5d-bb8e-0cb9f8bb7267&pd_rd_w=6Ji9u&pd_rd_wg=MSuiH&...
I just got this one from Amazon. It's a bit of a pain to try to do it while holding the scope in your hand but I just cut off a tiny piece of bud leaf and put it on the table which works out great.
It's a yellowish powder or sort of gummy looking stuff which is the latex. That's the stuff they make heroin out of but some of it sticks to the seeds.
I bought this off Amazon and it works well. Really cool to see the seeds up close:
I use this one and it works great. I find if I try to hold it in my hand that nothing is clear so I cut a tiny part of the bud off and view it under the scope. Works like a charm for me.
I am using this, and I am completely satisfied with it.
Carson MicroBrite Plus LED Lighted Pocket Microscope
60-120x, with a AA battery powered light.
Honestly you can’t really tell until you look at her under a microscope or jewelers loupe. You wanna look for cloudy and amber trichome heads but she does look frosty!
I have this and I like it
I’d give her like two or three more weeks to fatten up
That’s my best guess
I use one of these. its cheap and not well built but it works decent enough once you get the hang of it. I want a different one
Ahhh you are welcome young grasshopper!
This is the one I got. It’s cheap but freaking awesome. And it has a light. Make sure when you are checking trichomes you check the bud not the sugar leaves. The sugar leaves will always turn first. And when you check buds, check a sample from top and a sample from bottom so you have an idea the different rates of maturing. I harvest the top colas and leave my little stuff for an extra week. Hope this helps! Good luck! Feel free to pm if you ever get stuck on something. I may not know all the answers but I can at least point you in the right direction. 👍
Pocket microscope for around $15
A whole new world opens up for you! Very easy to use, too. Just rest it on the thing you want to observe and gaze in wonder. They make great gifts too.
Carson MicroBrite Plus 60x-120x Power LED Lighted Pocket Microscope https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_hG0fFbHDP9JZX
Too small to tell. I also found very young ones at my place and they are very difficult to assess. If you want to be sure, you can buy a cheap microscope on Amazon. I bought this: https://www.amazon.com/Carson-MicroBrite-60x-120x-Lighted-Microscope/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=pd\_bxgy\_img\_2/131-8446073-7872545?\_encoding=UTF8&pd\_rd\_i=B00LAX52IQ&pd\_rd\_r=92061643-ac54-4a17-96b6-336a00fab269&pd\_rd\_w=7QV0L&pd\_rd\...
Good quality and almost inexpensive.
But it's just a recommendation, you can also go further in your investigation checking other signs of bedbugs, such as eggs, molts or black spots (bedbug's poop). Do not panic till you are sure of what you found. As you can read across this board, people tend to make hasty decisions when they panic.
Let us know what you find!
You can find a small hand-held microscope on Amazon. You can get a closer look at the trichomes to tell if they're milky or clear.
I bought one of these and have the same problem. Even at 60x the depth of field is so shallow that the only way I can see anything is to remove a small piece of the plant and view it on a tabletop. There's no way I can hold it steady enough to see shit on the plant.
amazon Carson microbrite link
I just got this one and I'm happy with it. I've seen it recommended a lot here
TWO WEEKS. But in seriousness, do yourself a favor and pick up one of these. They are pretty cheap and super effective, using it you can get a good look at the trichomes and determine if they are clear or cloudy or going amber. That's the best and easiest way to determine if it is harvest time or not.
Carson Microbrite Plus
I got one of these about a year ago, probably the best $12 I ever spent. Of course you can't see microscopic life or anything like that, but I was and am still blown away by the details I can see with it. I suppose it's not what you're looking for, but still a cool little gadget.
The best is imho the carson 60x to 100x hand microscope. Two friends scoffed at me and bough the cheap 4 bucks ones for for their smartphone, but then still ask me if they could borrow mine -.-
I think its always better to wait too long than to chop too early.
Also, I HIGHLY recommend getting a better magnifying device. Super cool, super cheap. I got this Carson MicroBrite Plus for like $13 on Amazon.
With your lighting setup, a partial harvest may be best. I have the same kind of problem where the tops of my buds will be ripe but the bottoms won't be. I mostly make edibles out of my stuff so it's not a big deal to me, but we all have different desires.
I also suggest investing the $13 into a handheld microscope, which takes the hassle and guesswork out of looking at the trichomes.
It's better, but still too hard to tell exactly what's cloudy and what's clear.
I bought this exact one three years ago and it's killer. The light makes it really easy to tell what's what.
Another tip (one which you've probably already learned) is to re-profile with a not-so-coarse stone when you are getting started, or at least switch to a not-so-coarse stone as you approach the apex.
My sharpening jig is DIY but it does have a thickness compensator. Still, I always verify with a pocket microscope. These are pretty darn amazing for $12:
A single pixel consists of one red one green and one blue sub pixel. Together they make a single pixel.
Get a pocket microscope from amazon.
Something like this
It's quite amazing down there.
Carson MicroBrite Plus 60x-120x Power LED Lighted Pocket Microscope (MM-300) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_ttmCzbM2CMYSM
Did I get a good one? I'm not really sure about the power, my friend has a 10x loupe for coins and shit but it's not focused enough on any of my ids
Sorry for the delayed response! I just picked up one of these for cheap and snapped a few pics through it with my phone. Certainly not ideal but after some more practice I can get decent shots now.
It helps to zoom in on your camera if you are taking pictures through a magifier/loupe. I hated using a loupe though, because you almost have to take decent pictures through it to get an accurate amber % idea (maybe i'm just too shaky to hold it still enough, idk)
Next time I plan on using a little 15-20$ 60-120x handheld microscope instead
Looks like edema. Typically means you're watering too much. The pepper plant cant get rid of the excess water, and you end up with those bumps on the undersides of the leaves, in particular close to the stems.
If you want to be sure, get a cheap handheld microscope, like this one: link.
The 'cure' is typically watering less. Unfortunately, I'm growing hydroponically, so that's not really an option for my case, but if you're growing in soil, water less - don't let it dry out completely - but peppers do well in soil that is a bit on the dryer side.
the scope i use is really hard to focus so I snipped a very very tiny piece of bud off to put it on a table, and then line everything up to take the photo. I used this microscope and my LG G3 phone. http://www.amazon.com/Carson-MicroBrite-60x-120x-Microscope-MM-300/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1438348789&sr=8-1&keywords=led+microscope
If you want to invest $14 into a device that will always tell you if a card is fake or not there is a Carson Microbrite.
You can look at the green mana symbol on the back of the card and a fake card will have a scattered red dot pattern. While a real card will have a L made of 4 red dots. The example picture is one I took with my own phone through the Microbrite.
Carson microBrite Pocket Microscope...thing is legit and only 13 dollars. you can even put your cellphone camera to the viewing aperture to take pictures of the image, no flash needed. My goto fake card checker.

Harvest the plants earlier when the trichromes are cloudy, but before they have amber. Buy a 40x or larger loupe off Amazon to check your trichromes.
Here's a good scope.
Here are some photos to give you an idea of what to look for.
This is the one I have!

Cheap, effective, even has a light
What magnification do you require?
I recently bought this for our child; the whole family loves to use it. My spouse for instance used it to identify flour. I used it to investigate the structure of my iPhone Retina screen.
No worries. I would recommend grabbing a little microscope and looking at them that way. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Carson-MicroBrite-Lighted-Pocket-Microscope/dp/B00LAX52IQ?c=ts&ts_id=1083938

Take a look at a bud under a microscope. If you don't have one, you can get a 120x for like $15 on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LAX52IQ
If the trichomes are amber and/or cloudy then it's harvest time, but if they're still clear then give it more time.
$12.89 on amazon
I just got this, it works great. You will need 1 AA battery for the light.
i think the easiest way to check if the plant is rdy are to have a look at the trichomes, if you are new to growing.
buy sth cheap like this or an usb variant so you can take pictures or videos with it ( https://www.amazon.de/Carson-MM-300-MicroBrite-Plus-60x/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=sr_1_5?__mk_de_DE=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3%91&crid=3JHJGALIIKTPI&keywords=mikroskop&qid=1667384666&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI2Ljg3IiwicXNhIjoiNi4zNiIsInFzcCI6IjUuNzMifQ%3D%3D&sprefix=mikroskop%2Caps%2C77&sr=8-5 )

Check out some pictures on Google of broad mite damage on peppers.
You'd need a pocket microscope if you want to confirm. I have one of these: Carson MicroBrite Plus 60x-120x Power LED Lighted Pocket Microscope https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_i_XS3DSNBREJZFMQ4YAGQ8?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

This is the one I use and it works perfectly
Need to get something like this and look at the trichs:
If they're mostly clear let it go longer, if they're mostly cloudy you can take it down. And even though it looks the same size overall it could be increasing in density. Container size def limited it's size potential, but nothing you can do about that now.
This is the pocket microscope I have. I didn't want to buy anything to expensive in case my kid broke it but I was pleasantly surprised at well it worked.
This is the usb microscope and I have no complaints except sometimes it is top heavy and falls over.
People use jewlers loops but i personally dont

It greatly depends on where you bought it, the type of spores & the number of spores they added to the syringe. If you shake the syringe vigorously for a few minutes you should be able to see some. However, if you're worried about it then in the future you can buy a $13 pocket microscope to see how many are in there...
I use this one. it's cheap, really easy to use and works well enough for me.
This will help you get a better photo on the cheap:

It helped me identify my rodent mite infestation. https://imgur.com/gallery/FNPF09o
If what you have here is really some type of parasitic mite you need to get the situation under control before it gets worse because there’s never just one of these things and once they find their way to you you will become a food source, they will drink your blood.

The only issue with these lil microscopes is their feild of focus is so small. What I do it take a specimen and put it onto my pocket notebook for a flat surface then adjust focus. It can work by just putting it onto the bark of a tree but it works best on flat surfaces. Also look into macro lenses for your phone, I use one for mushroom photography and it has a wider feild of focus and then you can take pics

You need to check ALL crevices anywhere near your bed. You need to open up all pillow cases and look for bugs. You need to remove sheets and look in the sheets, and along seams in the mattress/box spring/frame/legs etc.
Check the baseboards. Check cracks in the flooring. Collect ANYTHING you find with packaging tape or scotch tape. But a cheap microscope on amazing for $20 or less, take a look and post photos of THE BUGS.
I thought I had bedbugs too but quickly discovered what I had was MITES.
Get yourself [one of these](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LAX52IQ) and have a closer look. 99% sure these are trichomes, but in later stages of growth, PM can look a lot like frosty trichomes.
I bought [this one](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LAX52IQ?psc=1&ref=ppx\_yo2\_dt\_b\_product\_details) off Amazon for less than $20 and it's served me pretty well.
CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN every surface and crevice. Vacuum all fabric/rugs etc. Seal crevices if possible especially in the room where bitten. Think of ways you could be tracking them in to your home too. Check the mattress and bed frame etc. Check fabric. Check moldings around the floor etc. If you might be living near a host (even a tiny mouse in the wall or an access panel in a ceiling) that’s a possible source. They love small mammals and won’t hang out with you for long especially if you give them reason to leave (like camping out in another area of the home for awhile while you clean.
Kill them with hot water in the washing machine and dryer. Two full heat cycles is what I used for bedding etc. Then what you want to do is to trap any that might be residing in your mattress or pillows with the kind of covers that are bedbug proof. I would wait longer to change these covers than you do to change the sheets. You need to make sure that you heat the crap out of the sheets when you launder them for the next couple washings. Change those sheets once a week and lander asap.
After cleaning and sealing cracks, consider using a diatomaceous earth treatment.
I highly recommend buying this.

Collect as many bugs as possible with some tape. Don’t crush them. Submit photos to r/bedbugs for the best help identifying. They are really knowledgeable about the bugs that get mistaken for bed bugs.

I’d recommend getting one of these if you plan on buying more cards that cost a bit:

I have a lil portable one that can zoom 60-120x that I got on amazon for about $12. It is honestly incredible and worth every penny. You can find it here!
A better jeweler's loupe. This is the one I have. Works just fine- much better magnification than this. Best of luck👍
I bought one of these 6 years ago and it's still working great. Does the job just fine.
Invest in one of these and know for sure: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_8566M3AJMCZ1K648SM0E

Not exactly the same but something like this https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_1KFSCG7RADXH1DSSFCX9
There is other tests in the dropdown menu of that site to look at also. but the green dot is good go to first test.
Loupe works but if you want higher magnification something like this $12 microscope is what I use.
I use Carson MicroBrite 60x-120x. Set to the lowest setting 60x
these are the fake I captured with it:

Lol thanks. I have a cheapie, just barely out of the "kids toy" category and a phone.
Bought it because I wanted portable fun!
Buy a cheap 13 buck handheld battery powered 60x at least microscope off Amazon, crazy good.

If you’re an amazon person.
And when the trichomes are milky
This one is less than $15 and it's not bad for just satisfying your curiosity.
Geht also nicht so leicht kaputt.
Yeah sure, here it is
I found this one to be popular so I picked it up,
Carson MicroBrite Plus LED Lighted Pocket Microscope - Amazon
I picked this up off amazon and it works great! Carson MicroBrite Plus 60x-120x... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LAX52IQ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I use this which was pretty good for $11 bones.
Carson MicroBrite Plus 60x-120x LED Lighted Pocket Microscope https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_8DBRDbTYHNV2X
you can use one of these to get shots like this
Get a loupe for like $10 on amazon and check your trichomes.
I have this one.
30x is the min. with a light.
I use this one that has up to 60x to 120x: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LAX52IQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It helps you see some of the finer details and its under 15.
Get a microscope (I use https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LAX52IQ) and look at the edge of a real magic card. It will be clear what I mean by that. The edge looks rough, almost like carefully torn paper (at least at a microscopic level).
Hard to tell at that magnification - I invested in one of these and it's been excellent (plus it's just really fucking cool). $13 on Amazon.
I have a set of 10x, 20x and 40x jewelers loupes that work quite well.
I also have one of these on order:
Ping me back towards the week if you want a review on it.
But i order this yesterday, gonna make great picture
I went with one of these :
Thanks for the tips. I think this will be much easier for me

Grt a magnifying glass they sell electronic ones on amazon https://www.amazon.com/Carson-MicroBrite-60x-120x-Lighted-Microscope/dp/B00LAX52IQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=loupe&qid=1599757642&sr=8-3 look at the triches on the buds. Also that looks like a herm so hopefully your other plants arent affected
Watch the video, get a magnifying glass, or microscope (preferred) and stop asking ~~stupid~~ the same questions over and over and over.
