It turns out that Casio makes G-Shocks for military members now; thing has 24 hr time on it and five alarms, four different time zones (so you can keep up with your loved one's time and overseas time, etc), a programmable calendar, and a LED backlight. The battery will need to be replaced every two years, but they can do that at any jewelry store in the mall; NEVER let AAFES or Walmart replace your battery, they are not trained to open the watches up.
This was just under $70 on Amazon
Rocking this watch, but green with a negative display.
I was watching Jurassic World and saw Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) was wearing a G-Shock. I picked this one up on Amazon for around $60. It’s my second G-Shock and love it.
Not quite sure what you're looking for but here are some ideas:
A nice Swatch
Sleek, Minimalist Braun
This is the model I have. Casio G-Shock GD-100-1B Watch [link]
Edit: I just reread your post and saw that you wanted a second hand. It doesn't have one but it has a timer.
G-Shock made for the military; can't go wrong with it.
Every man should have a G-Shock for labor or outdoor stuff, they are incredible watches. I really like the looks of them too. Anyway, these are some of my favorites... GD-100 Military Series, G-9300 Mudman, GR-8900A, Solar Atomic GW2310, GD-X6900, Solar Atomic GW-530A, Solar Atomic Frogman.
Personally I would stay away from any of the G Shocks with an analog dial included. I have found some to be cheaper quality and personally just feel with a G Shock for it's functional purpose is to be digital and to tell the time quickly where the analog doesn't have much use.
I own this one: GD100 - was cheaper at the time I got it not atomic or solar but I enjoy the inverse dial and the way it lights up
This one is nice with atomic keeping and solar power: GW7900B-1
Another one with a vibrating alarm: GD350-1B
Most are all about the same with the same features minus vibrating alarm/solar/atomic. I would just avoid the ones with the analog dial in general as those along with some others are more about the style and less the functionality that G Shock started with.
