Some models are better than others. I got one from PetSmart and it broke in days. Then I got another one and it also broke in days. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DSSA54C?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share is the best one I've found. They still break because they're crap made in China but the one I have now runs about five hours a day for months. Just get some Eneloop AA rechargable batteries and their C-cell converter or you'll have big regrets.
Quick google search and I found this which seems similar to what's in the video https://www.amazon.ca/Cats-Meow-Motorized-Wand-Resist/dp/B00DSSA54C/ref=asc_df_B00DSSA54C/?tag=googlemobshop-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=292974800526&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=13832426283040127744&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&...
I love cats, but a cat pouncing in feet is not acceptable cat behavior in my mind. Did someone encourage this behavior? I see lots of videos of people wiggling their toes and kittens pouncing in them, which is setting up the cat for failure later in life.
You need to tire the cat out. Two (or more as needed) 15-20 minute play sessions with appropriate cat toys. Find what the cat likes but things like a fuzzy thing on the end of the string. Get that cat running and jumping and most importantly, tired.
In addition to human play time, interactive toys. Here's one mine loved. I've also seen remote controlled cat toy cars. Your son might have fun driving the car around and the cat will have something to play with
Second the idea for the spray bottle. Might try a pocket fan too, some cats dislike those. When cat goes for the feet, pull out the toys instead. And no one in the house should ever play with the cat using their bare hands. Need to teach the cat feet/hands are not play things.
Stuff some fresh cat nip inside it, maybe that will help! I have this one toy that’s a circle with a feather toy that it spins around that my cats like! It’s nice to have automatic/mechanical toys for them if you need to work or clean or something! My cats also really like the laser pointer which is an easy way to get them to run back and forth without much effort. Put a treat on the ground and land the pointer on it to end playing
Here it is: Cat's Meow- Motorized Wand Cat Toy, Automatic 30 Minute Shut Off, 3 Speed Settings, The Toy Your Cat Can't Resist https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DSSA54C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_ZAXEKNMR34JXVAKKV8KZ
I can't say for certain - I'm certainly no expert.
That said, I'm 40 and currently have 5 cats. Have probably had 15 cats over the course of my life. There are laid back cats, and there are playful cats. Boredom is a serious issue for cats. If she doesn't have anyone to play with, then you need to be that person. If she's biting you, it's (to me) a sign that she is looking for more play.
I'll say that above all else, cats love routines. For me, I have 3 routines with my youngest cat. In the morning, I'll gather my clothes and set them on the bed - then she will try to walk on them. I'll grab her and knock her on her back and grab her belly. She'll get all indignant and half claw/bite me (gently) then run away. After that, as I'm putting on my shoes, I'll reach my fingers through the stair railings and she'll attack my hand. When I'm going to bed, she'll wait on the stair landing and I'll sit down and pet her and she'll attack my hand again. All fun and games.
If she ever gets too aggressive, I'll just stop. She has learned what the appropriate play is like. She looks forward to these three things everyday.
That said, if you don't want this behavior at all, then I suggest finding new routines. You mention that you play with her with a wand. Have you looked into a Cat's Meow? Literally the best toy for a cat, ever.
Good luck!
We got it at bosleys but we don’t remember what the toy was actually called though... basically it has a little wand underneath the round mat that rotates around on its own.
There’s something similar on Amazon but it looks like I doesn’t have feathers on the toy itself

Pipe cleaners like kids use in arts and crafts. You can bend them into shapes.
I found a mouse on an elastic cord that you could hang from the doorway on Amazon that seemed to entertain my cats.
Also, this! : Cat's Meow- Motorized Wand Cat Toy, Automatic 30 Minute Shut Off, 3 Speed Settings, The Toy Your Cat Can't Resist https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DSSA54C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_NdZyEb2ADBAZ3
My cat's also love a plain old cardboard box. They chew on it, jump in it, hide in it... Etc. Poke holes in the side for them to attack you from - that's my cats' favorite game. Paper bags are also entertaining to my cats (4 am is a grand time to play in them).
Trusty old laser pointer.
Sounds like you are, but be wary of the hair ties... When my eldest cat was around 1 yr old, she had a bowel obstruction from swallowing hair ties and had to have part of her bowel removed (not cheap or fun). Now my hair ties are kept in a locked drawer, lol.
try some automatic cat toys.
the laser one or the one under the cloth circle.
here's a couple suggestions. this or this or this
have her distracted by those while you play with him in another room.
you could also setup a camera system, so you can talk to her while she's in another room so it doesn't seem as separated.
This was a big hit for a while but now it's hidden until he forgets about it and hopefully is excited to see it again later! lol

I got this one off amazon. It needs AA batteries but it lasts for hours. My ferrets love it.
Curious about this thing, I’ve heard good things!
Not entering, our kittie is no longer with us, but we had something similar to this! I always see commercials for things like it and it reminds me of her.

I bought mine in July of this year off Amazon. As you can see in the description 3 C batteries. If I would have known beforehand, the trigger would not have been pulled!
How about one of these?: http://www.amazon.com/ALLSTAR-MARKETING-GROUP-CM011112-Cats/dp/B00DSSA54C
Here it is, but I think I got it at Walmart.
