> I think the plastics don't scuff up like aluminum does, they're nicer to hold in the cold, and they're light weight. They seem nice.
I love the Nitrolons. I EDC a G2 w M61L 219b quite frequently. They are some of my favorite series of lights, perhaps ever.
> Certainly that's a problem but if they sell models that output 600 lumens,
What Nitrolons are you talking about? The modern LED verions are totally different construction and have all metal heads and are not P60 compatible, although you can now buy P60 heads for those series of lights.
> an equivalent Malkoff drop-in would be good right?
All you need to do is get an L or LL, the L is honestly my preferred output anyways, because you don't need that full max, 200 less lumens but under half the draw. 200lm vs 400lm.
> Do you know of any high-quality hosts other than KDliker and now that Solarforce is out of business?
You could use the Malkoff MD series, Oveready also makes and sells mutliple p60 hosts both in Z style and P style, FiveMega over on CPF also has all kinds of hosts though availability varies. There is also Texas Lumens for a more exotic look....
Thanks for the reply!
He just turned 7 months and I've had him for 5 months. He was also neutered in October.
His poops are near his little box. I understand that many rabbits mark their territory this way but the amount has increased in the past month (maybe 20-30 poops at least 3 times a day).
Yes, there is always plenty of hay in his litter and it gets refreshed in the morning and evening usually. This is the litter box he has and I took the door off. I guess it could just be that the litter box is in the living room and I'm more sensitive to smell.
I have absolutely zero DIY skills, unfortunately.
They are litter boxes with a door, maybe that might work ? (or just add a door to yours ?)
Exemple on amazon

I just do not understand open air litterboxes, dirty litter and faeces and awful cat pee spray everywhere!!
If you do use a covered litter box, dont get those tiny shit ones from walmart or the booda dome, they WILL shit on the stairs lol. I personally have 2 of these and the smell is nonexistent if you scoop every 2 days like you should. Plus you dont have to take the top off to scoop, theres a panel on top that folds up!!

My boyfriend and I have 4 cats as well and had been struggling for a long time with finding litter that actually clumped well and that cut down on odor. So Phresh cat litter has been an absolute godsend. Everything clumps so freaking tightly, I'm amazed at the giant clumps of urine that I scoop out every time I clean it. Also, I haven't noticed any paw prints on our furniture since we made the switch. I never thought I would feel so strongly about a brand of litter before, but I seriously love that stuff. We've tried their Advanced Odor Control and their Dual Odor Guard and both are phenomenal, though they also do a couple of different pellet litters if that's more your style.
As for the litter box situation, as other people have mentioned one litter box for 4 kitties isn't going to cut it, but if you really don't think you can sacrifice any space then you absolutely have to make sure that your litter box is being cleaned at least once a day. We are huge lovers of the Catit Jumbo Hooded Pan. It's spacious, deep, and wonderful for multi-cat households. Also, it has a door which helps tremendously with cutting down on odor, though the door can be held in place and out of the way if you or your kitties would prefer not to use it. That box combined with a litter mat has eliminated the tracking problem we used to have.
I have this litter box. I give it five (pees in the box) out of five. [link]
I’ve had cats my whole life and I’ve used every sort of litter pan and they all stick to the bottom. I also use Dr Elsey’s cat litter, which I feel is one of the best. I use this litter pan and it’s the best one I’ve ever had. One of my cats digs to the bottom before pooping or peeing and then covers it up like he’s burying a bone. Those are the clumps that still stick to the bottom. The other cat pees on top of the litter and comes up with no problem. I have found that metal scoops work the best for getting those clumps stuck to the bottom. I use this one. It’s super sturdy.
Edit: words
Absolutely!! I have three of these for my two cats and it's a great box. There's a carbon filter you can change but honestly I don't notice a difference in odor because I leave the lid open.

I checked the link and I used to be able to buy this on Amazon through Catit. I'm not sure if it's still prime, but they do have a few inches narrower box through prime.
Here's the litter mats I use, which do a great job of holding the litter in: Easyology Premium Cat Litter Mat, Durable, Non Toxic, XL Super Size, Black [link]
This is what I bought for my 20+ pound cat, Rory, and he shares it with his considerably smaller buddy, Pigeon.
Why anyone goes without a covered litter box in this day and age I will never understand.
/u/MotherofCats876's second option is a DIY Clevercat box. My former roomie had a Clevercat, and it was quite roomy.
Otherwise, bigger boxes are usually marketed as "jumbo," I think. This one from Petco is 23"L x 19"W x 19"H, and this one from Amazon is 22.4"L x 17"W x 18.3"H.
I bought this cat litter box and it's the best one ever! I wish I had found it years ago! It's built good, not a cheapo. [link]
Best one I've got for friends and myself is this
Has plenty of room for them to do their work and keeps out the smell with flap door.
Yeah, you need a dome on those boxes. I have a litter mat in front of mine, but old carpet would probably work as well.
Edited to add: I bought this jumbo-sized domed litter box off Amazon a few weeks ago for a new kitten. It has a clear door flap on it but I fold it back to make it more open. The foster mom warned me that she was very messy with litter and this has done the trick. It's also, as I said, jumbo-sied. I've also been using this litter mat which I suppose is okay, I'm neutral on it. It does seem to work.
(I included some Amazon links to give you an idea since you mentioned Amazon, no affiliate links just the smile URL for donating to your charity-of-choice if you've set it up. You can get domed litter boxes cheaper if you click around, I just mentioned the one I got because I've been pretty pleased with it.)
This is the one we have. I'm kind of pissed, I paid 45 for it and it's almost half off now.
