Maybe the easiest would be to get an L2 charger that is either switchable or programmable to say, 16amps at 240v.
That would charge it overnight (12 to 14 hrs ~ 40kw).
Then, if you needed to charge faster, you change it to 32amps. Example: ChargePoint Home Flex Electric Vehicle (EV) Charger upto 50 Amp, 240V, Level 2 WiFi Enabled EVSE, UL Listed, Energy Star, NEMA 6-50 Plug or Hardwired, Indoor/Outdoor, 23-Foot Cable https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WNXTHNW/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_Y4911ZHH3MV3GP1Z05YS
My utility (Pepco) offers rebates on the Chargepoint Home Flex, the Enel X JuiceBoc 32 or 40, an unspecified Siemens charger (link is broken), and a Tesla charger that only appears compatible with Tesla.
I'm thinking about going with Chargepoint, but I'm still at the preliminary stages of research, myself, and no, I haven't found any good resources yet, but I'll let you know if I do.
For a few dollars more...

I bought it off Amazon before the price increase about a month ago. Just looked now and it’s only $699.

You aren't going to be able to get a level 3 charger for at your house. Even if you could afford the charger itself, it would be prohibitively difficult to get installed. I have had a 2016 e-Golf for the past 1.5yrs. For the first 8mo, I used a level 1 charger and a 50ft extension cord. That was a really dumb solution. Earlier this year, I got a ChargePoint Home Flex EV Charger installed and it was the best choice I could have made.

It integrates into the ChargePoint app, so you can see if the car is charging without needing VW's crazy carnet crap. Electrify America has a similar offering but they weren't selling it yet when I bought the ChargePoint one.
For what it's worth, while I was using the 50ft extension cord, I was driving up to the grocery store all the time to use their EVgo level 3 charger for a quick top-off. Since getting the new charger installed, I haven't done that once. Level 2 is totally sufficient if you aren't on a roadtrip or something.
