Check this book out, its pretty much a spot on response to your question. It points out that their is indeed powerful forces in politics, media and pop culture all intended to make us despise each other.
It's not about feeling attacked, as I'm distinctly middle class. It's about calling out problematic narratives. Read up on Owen Jones work on this matter: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Chavs-Demonization-Working-Owen-Jones/dp/1844678644
How is calling out your stupidity feeling attacked and letting it get to me, kiddo?

One part of this book documents this sort of thing well. Related to the Madeline McCann girl missing.
And, in England, even the Soccer millionaires are being looked down by people who do matter.

As you live in England, Chavs by Owen Jones, is pretty much a must read. Owen Jones is a great accessible gateway into socialism, he is a very lively and entertaining writer and speaker, although many argue he is not left wing enough, and that he is more of a social democrat than a true socialist. The good thing about this book is that not only does it have stuff on economics and political theory, it also provides a neat history of the last couple of hundred years of politics and activism in the UK (for example, some good stuff on Margaret Thatcher and the miners stike etc). You can also check out Owen Jones youtube channel, his facebook, and guardian articles etc. I haven't read it, but Jones' second book, 'The Establishment' is supposed to be good too.
Did I say it did? Can you quote me where I said that?
I said the term chav is used to malign the working class. Read up Owen Jones and his work on how the working class are demonised in the UK.

Stop being a disingenuous fucktard.
Chav has always meant uneducated poor people that live in social housing.
When Tories say they want to gas Chavs, it doesn't mean they specifically want to target unruly poor yoof in adidas tracksuits (how is that even better?), it's used against uneducated poor in social housing.

Again, there is an entire book on how Chav has been used, its mostly slang for poor working class people.
No. Read this book.
