Two I'm reading now are Cheap Chic which is a lovely 70s time capsule of advice on how to find your style on the cheap and Fear and Clothing which goes into the regionalities of US fashion. I like the first better than the second because Wilson is a little "geez whiz" with the midwest, but that's my bias shining through ;)
