It is as long as our kitchen drawer is deep, it was sold without a safety cover, and we haven't sharpened it in years, BUT we nicknamed it the bat'leth and its ridiculous impracticality is why we've kept it around.\r\n\r\nPizza scissors, on the other hand, are a godly idea. Kitchen shears did a lot of heavy lifting in my college apartment; cutting pizza was just one of its tasks. I loved using scissors on pizza for many reasons: It saved space in my tiny kitchen, and you can never press down too hard to cut a slice. \r\n\r\nKitchen shears are not a perfect stand-in for true pizza scissors. Kitchen shears are usually symmetrical, while good pizza scissors have a top half (for your hand) and a spatula-like bottom half) to slide under the pizza and lift it up. I had to use a fork to lift the pizza and get it into the jaws of my shears. I've always wanted off center all-purpose kitchen shears with an attachment for cutting pizza, because I don't like pressing down (and dulling) a chef's knife, and pizza wheels have always seemed like the most impractical idea ever.
