I'm just a bad writer, it will be easier with a bandsaw. Mainly because its powered. I use a coping saw for cutting out sheet metal. (city of phoenix logo) Its good for angles. Also, I didn't know micarta was bad until a family friend died from pneumonia after working with canvas and g10 for a couple weeks. I only use it with a proper respirator and dust collector. (gallon jug with bottom cut off and vac. hose connected to mouth of jug) It'd be easier to go with wood with the tools listed. Get some scales then drill holes, epoxy, shape, and sand.
