I use your link number1. they work fine, im not a fan of molex connectors in general. they way my rig is mounted though, once the heat was going for a while, the cushions on the bottom started peeling away as the adhesive relaxed. but no big deal. They were a bit cheaper off amazon. Also a couple fit a bit too tight in the slots, but i kinda just shaved off a bit of the extra pcb with a knife and they worked fine.
all the other ones should work fine though, except the ribbon? you def want powered risers if you're using a lot of cards, the poor mobo probably wouldn't like all that power going through it. Well i guess the ribbon one should work fine in 16x slots, but then you'd probably run out of lanes.. id just stick to 1x risers.
You need to reflash original BIOS for your card.
To which you have few ways as you only have 1x PCI-E x16.
One is to find someone else with an empty slot to which you can connect your card and reflash it at their place.
Another is to use PCI-E x1 to x16 riser. Something like this.
In all seriousness though... just what were you thinking to attempt a BIOS flash with no backup plan? Technically MSI even has grounds to deny your RMA in this case as they can check that you customized it (they most likely wouldn't though).

What's nice about it, is you can plug SATA power cables directly to it, so no need to mess with Molex or adapters. Many people have had their cables melt when using adapters of any kind. It has also been said that each SATA line should have no more than 2 risers connected to it, or there is risk of melting.
