A book that's been recommended to me and is lingering in my amazon shopping cart is "Childproofing your Dog." From what I understand, it's less from the cleaning dimension (I agree from others here that a little dog hair will be just fine) and more about behavioral training so dog and baby can peacefully coexist. My dog is the sweetest, but dog standards of baby care are a bit different than ours, and she's 70lbs and tall, so she can get into anything she wants.
