Can you think of any English language easy to read text that covers Islamic theology (and/or Islamic law and/or Islamic philosophy) in a fashion/scope/depth comparable to Alister McGrath's Christian Theology: an Introduction (see the table of contents in the amazon preview)? Also, the catch is it needs to have a Kindle (or alternative electronic) version.
I'm asking for /u/caldoar (a Christian who is looking for such a book).
Don't know what your goal is but if you are looking to read all the writings of the church fathers you are in for a pretty daunting task.
I always recommend McGrath https://www.amazon.com/Christian-Theology-Introduction-Alister-McGrath/dp/1118869575.
Hello! I was once you: a Reformed seminary student. Although I've found my forever home in Eastern Orthodoxy, my journey included a brief stint with Anglicanism and I am finishing my M.Div at Nashotah House.
The current systematic prof at Nashotah House assigns Christian Theology: An Introduction by Alister McGrath. In addition, I highly recommend An Apology for the Church of England by John Jewel and English Spirituality by Martin Thornton
