To piggyback on this, there is all manner of sketchy adapters and extension cords on Amazon with lots of positive reviews.
Like this one that lets you plug the 50A Tesla adapter into a 30A outlet. Better hope your breakers are installed correctly!
Make sure you double check everything.
Would a 14-30P to 14-50R adaptor like below work?

You can use an adapter like this one if the charger doesn’t allow to change connector type to 14-30. It will charge at a lower rate. 14-50 uses 50amp, 14-30 uses 30 amps.

Found having the 14-50 extension cord was useful.
I bought this one which is 30', and a 14-30 to 14-50 adapter.
The main situation this is useful is when staying at friends' houses who live out of town, and an inconvenient distance from a supercharger.
Most modern builds, even those with gas appliances, often have an electric dryer outlet in the laundry room.
In condos or airbnbs with electric appliances, if it has an electric range (the slide out type) your 14-50 extension will be worth its weight in copper.
CircleCord NEMA 14-30P to 14-50R adapter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XNX8KQ6 ($35 now, I purchased it last year for $29)
Miady 30ft 50Amp Heavy Duty RV/EV https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H7Y916X (I bought this last year and it was only $120, now $150)
The extra 5' does make a bit of difference especially if you have to connect a laundry room or kitchen outlet that isn't directly next to the driveway. The mobile connector has about 20' of cord, so with a 30 extension you've got FIFTY feet.
