I really like it. Sturdy and comfortable to me.
If you're determined to go new, and if you're willing to go in butt-blind, the Clatina Mellet at $200 has got a few qualified but overall-positive reviews on this sub, and it's a pretty tough audience.
If $300 is your hard budget, I'd recommend you check your used marketplace for a Steelcase Leap V2 or Haworth Zody. If you want to buy new, you can try this clatina (make sure to buy headrest too)
I have no experience with the Clatina but have seen it recommended in your price range. A headrest would be optimal for lounging in. Hope it helps
not a gaming chair but a comfortable office chair that doesnt brake the bank. its on amazon
I found the Clatina Mellet a decent budget Option for a new chair.

Bingo... If you are having long gaming sessions, and don't have sponsorship obligations that require you to use their PC racing seats, do your back and neck a favor and go with what feels good.
Speaking from experience. Here's the chair I went to after striking out on a "gaming chair" that was just as expensive. (I understand it's over the price point you set, but I wanted to provide examples.)
