Front doors? Try something like this first. If it works, great. If not, you're only out $14.
Yeah it sucks that Kia didn't pay more attention to at least making it somewhat better because they really nailed everything else for the most part.
Already disconnected that noise maker....I don't understand why they put that in a car that already has a good sounding exhaust.
I already deadened the trunk pan, rear wheel wells, and rear wheel liners with spectrum sound deadener which is a spray on/roll on deadener. I did about 3 coats each with one gallon of it. I also deadened the rear quarter panels behind the trunk liner and the roof with noico 80 mil butyl sheets. Believe it or not I think the most effective was the deadening on the liners. One thing I can say is that the rear end definitely sounds more solid when going over bumps.
I also had an issue with outside noise coming in. It sounded like my one of my windows was left cracked open. I tracked it down to the seals on the doors by checking all around using a dollar bill shut between the door and the frame. Not one of my doors closed tightly, the bill would slide right out. When doing the same check on my elantra there was a lot of resistance. I added a secondary seal that really cut a lot of that exterior noise from coming in. This is the one..https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H89G7D1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I've basically given as much effort at quieting this car down as I'm willing to. Eventually I'll get annoyed enough that I'll take the loss and get rid of it.
