Purple is next up on my list if the cpap pillow I ordered from Amazon doesn’t work
Coisum Back Sleeper Cervical Pillow - Memory Foam Pillow for Neck and Shoulder Pain Relief - Orthopedic Contour Ergonomic Pillow for Neck Support with Breathable Cover https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KHFBCN9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_ZMFBCVZD72B6C3SJTY8N
So I got these funky shaped side-sleeper pillows: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KHFBCN9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and I gotta say it's made a huge difference in my sleep quality, I track my sleep pretty frequently, and it's definitely resulted in more deep sleep, and less snoring, but it did take a few weeks to get used to.
I definitely had noticed my sleep quality deteriorated as I've been getting heavier, currently 185lbs @ 5'6", and def a bit chubby so snoring had gotten worse, but my new pillow has really helped. Also tbf I saw an ENT and he prescribed using some nasal wash and flonase which has also helped. But I got the pillow 3 months before that and was still sleeping better

Neck pain is definitely one of my migraine triggers. I’m sorry you have to deal with waking up with such pain and it’s brutal when it lingers.
I try doing stretches when laying down (and sitting / standing when I am able to). Search “neck stretches” on YouTube and try out some that might help you. This one has a good collection of examples: https://youtu.be/iFOm1or0CkI
I find these three stretches usually help while laying down:
Turning to face left as far and comfortable as possible (use hand to hold place as needed) for 10 seconds. Same for the opposite side.
Doing a “chin tuck” which is like pushing your head back into the pillow (https://youtu.be/1v9e8PdmqEI). This one really helps relieve the pain to most for me, personally.
If you are willing to spend money, I would suggest looking into a “migraine pillow”. Several exist and I would just get one that has good reviews and fits your budget. Example: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KHFBCN9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_M1XdFb05FYNWA
I’m trying out a “neck hammock” right now but it’s too early to say if it helps.
Laying on long-lasting ice packs definitely help for me. I like the flexible ones used in lunch bags or coolers: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XH9GB75/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_x4XdFbRXZ4PWC ... wrapping it in a shirt or thin fabric helps so it isn’t too cold (and so the back doesn’t get uncomfortably wet).
Last but not least, I’m trying out Tiger Balm as a topical ointment right now. So far it’s mixed results for me, but it seems to work well for others. My mom used to have really bad arthritis and the only thing that helped her was Cortizone or Aspercreme. I’ve had mixed results with both so far as any topical ointment does nothing to help. Even tried various CBD / THC lotions and gave zero relief. That’s just me, though.
I hope this helps out. Good luck with finding another doctor and don’t give up hope!
