Of course! I added it to the original comment too :)

The reviews aren't great, but I've used it everyday for a year now and it's still going strong. My boyfriend also uses it and he's a big dude; he says it never goes flat on him at night.
If you decide to purchase it, I hope it helps!!
In addition to a new mattress, I recommend using a between the knees pillow. I've had one for 5-ish years and it eliminated my hip pain from sleeping. I can't live without one now.

Mine did! I had such severe swelling that I dislocated my kneecap while walking. Doc said my kneecap was just floating around and slipped way, way off groove.
Unfortunately, it took over a month and it occasionally reoccurs during a flare but here's what helps me:
Compression brace. My favorite has removable supportive rods on the sides and opens in the front so you don't have to pull it up over a swollen knee. I've tried about a dozen braces and this is my absolute favorite. https://www.walgreens.com/store/c/walgreens-hinged-knee-brace-small/medium/ID=prod6375300-product
Elevation!! Sleep with your knee elevated on a pillow. I really liked that this pillow stabilized my knee and elevated it comfortably. I wasn't readjusting every couple hours because it held its shape. https://www.amazon.com/ComfiLife-Orthopedic-Pillow-Sciatica-Pregnancy/dp/B01ARJ7SBM/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=Knee+pillow&qid=1624145517&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUFVT1pPUFBMSzJLUFMmZW5jcnlwdG...
Don't be afraid to use crutches. I was worried I was being dramatic when I reached for them, but the swelling goes down quickly for me when I quit weight bearing for a bit.
Steroids also helped mine a ton! Do you have a rheumatologist? I'd tell them what's going on and see if you can get a dose pack or taper.
Good luck! It took some time for mine to go away, but at least I didn't need surgery! My kneecap found its way back home once the swelling went away lol
Yes, it is :( This is the one I bought. The reviews kinda suck, but it's thick and has worked well for me and my boyfriend (who is a big dude and has never had a problem with the pillow flattening during use). I've been using it almost every night for a year now. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ARJ7SBM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_KHqbGbH5AGNRS
I used one very similar to this at a hotel after injuring my knee on vacation: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07NPTXTFV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_XIqbGb6E99MC7 It worked really well too, but I liked the first one better because it also works while sleeping on your side :)
That's very kind of you to help your mom! RA is wicked, and I'll take all the help I can get lol
This thingy!

Or look up "leg pillow for side sleepers" on Amazon for more options.
Congratulations on your surgery! It's all progress from here. The other comment is right, just don't have anything directly, exclusively beneath your knee. You want that leg as straight as you can get it pretty much 24/7 at this stage.
I doubled up on pillows to help with my passive extension and bought the wedge, like you have, as well as this guy: https://www.amazon.com/ComfiLife-Orthopedic-Pillow-Sciatica-Pregnancy/dp/B01ARJ7SBM/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=knee+pillow&qid=1617206682&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzQVdTUk43OUNET0VVJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMzQ0NTQwMUJVREpOQUpVUFQ0WCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNDc4ODkyVUFET0NSU01WRjY1JndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
Double benefit of the elevation from the wedge, and then the gravity-induced extension from having your ankle in this cradle and the weight of your knee pulling it straight. It will be uncomfortable this early on in your recovery but that extension is so so so so worth it.
