I found this book on kindle. Being a kindle user I was able to read it for free. And it was totally worth the effort. The book is huge and has 800+ pages. This could be because it has tried to explain every small to big concepts with examples. While other books that I read very often used to jump on crucial small things. But this is my opinion. There are several other wonderful resources also availabe..both free and at a price. You must decide which one will be worth your time.

The best resource to learn pwoershell would be book. If you are a beginner then I would suggest to avoid any sort of cookbook. That may complicate even easier things for beginners. Take any other good book and follow from page one to last page.

Once you are familiar with powershell interactive commands then learning powershell script is very easy. Also you must select a source of learning carefully. But still it is possible that you may find it frustating to learn all by yourself in the beginning.Who would not want a little help to make their life easier. So to learn powershell in a sequential and step by step manner I would suggest you to get a good book and start following that book from page 1 to last page to learn powershell. I have attended webinars oraganized by my office..I have read few books including 2 cookbooks to learn powershell. I have read several blog posts and MS documents.They all helped to learn powershell to some extent.
