Yep, a lot of us have, but that's A+ stuff. Networking is kind of like math, if you have a bad foundation you're going to have a bad time moving up in your career when you start building on those foundations with advance knowledge. Nothing is going to get you past subnetting unless you know it to the point you can do them like crossword puzzles on your way into work.
edit: I should also mention that CompTia has questions on the exam that are put there specifically to catch those that use brain dumps. I had an old coworker that did that, he went for his security+ and lost all his certificates.
edit1: The learning style you're speaking of is called spaced repetition. You get a question wrong, learn it, and it asks you the question at a later point again. I'd rather do that than explain to an employer why you're never allowed to take a CompTia exam again.
