I would but I'm incredibility lazy. There's a guy who already did on the top amazon review of this one. As far as I can tell that's the same cheapo Chinese mic just with different branding.
My biggest complaint about it is unless your mouth is as close to it as his is in the video it's really quiet. That is unless you boost the gain, but then the sound quality degrades. But it's a $10 mic so what're you gonna do?
If you've been using your onboard mic, but have an input for a microphone, even using something like this can really up the sound quality. If you've got a little bit of spare funds but not enough for a full on system upgrade, those Yeti USB microphones suggested by OP can really do wonders without completely breaking the bank.

I use this, it's affordable & generic a ton of "brands" use the same mic. Have a tv behind me that's on a lot & people have no problem hearing me clearly. Pretty much only use my mic for squad & not a fan of headsets. Makes my head feel hot.
Awesome. Thank you for the examples and advice. I'm thinking about getting this one: https://www.amazon.com/Professional-Stereoscopic-Condenser-Microphone-Recording/dp/B00K68MT9Q/
I want one that just sits on my desk so that I don't have it strapped to my body. I hope that one will suffice.
Guitar: BC Rich Warbeast
Amp: Line 6 Spider IV 75
Mic: Soonhua Condenser Mic https://www.amazon.com/Professional-Stereoscopic-Condenser-Microphone-Recording/dp/B00K68MT9Q/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1472052015&sr=8-3&keywords=microphone
I know I need to upgrade my mic, probably the first thing I need to upgrade, but money is an issue at the moment and this is still just a hobby for me even though I've dedicated a lot of time to playing guitar
Pre: Still none
There are some okay mic’s for just 22 dollars https://www.amazon.com/Condenser-Microphone-SOONHUA-Omnidirectional-Recording/dp/B00K68MT9Q/ref=mp_s_a_1_13?dchild=1&keywords=mic&qid=1596923520&sr=8-13

Also I bought this to try out on the side table next to my chair. Don't need anything too fancy and I can send it back if it sucks haha.
I was looking up reviews on Amazon for something like that and found this review for a product that converts the usb to a 3.5mm jack. Basically what is says is that a converted simply won't work because a microphone needs power. I'm just a layperson, but after looking up some other reviews for similar items, s/he seems correct.
As for the other question, it depends on your budget and what you're using it for. For $15, I found this mic. I've looked at the reviews and the audio quality of the microphone seems pretty bad and pales in comparison to the Blu Yeti.
Isn't there an external mic on the camera? If it's high enough quality, you might not need to get a new mic.
You need to get a mic to make it past Silver 4 or so. Raw gunskill and teamwork on your end can only do so much if you don't have real-time comms with your teammates. Just buy a shitty little desktop mic for $10 or so and you won't believe how much that $10 can improve your playing.
Feel free to add me up on Steam at http://steamcommunity.com/id/qualitymeme69, I'm free to play CS all through the rest of today and early tomorrow morning possibly. Squeaker warning however, and I'm only Silver 2 so not great for ELO but almost everybody I've met in MM has assessed me as playing like a Silver Elite or SEM. I've had more than one smurf accusation.
Ah-ha. Yes - it may simply be the POS I am using. I have this
It's not very good. I was thinking of picking up this Since i heard it was good - I didn't realize USB vs analogue would be that big of a difference. The sound gets like, inflections of low volume and high volume randomly. Drives me nuts. Also, considered forcing Mono instead of stero during recording.

Anyways, thanks for the suggestion. I may check out the brand you suggested too!
