The problem with getting rid of fleas is that they are constantly laying eggs. So once you get rid of all the adult fleas, about a week later the eggs hatch and you have a whole new batch to deal with. We ordered this stuff off amazon which is supposed to render the developing fleas in the eggs unable to reproduce, so it ends the cycle. We used that in conjunction with the flea foggers (be sure to read instructions! Our required turning off the gas to our hot water heater) and daily vacuuming. It was a total pain in the ass and a ton of work, but after about 2-3 weeks of it we finally got rid of them.
ETA: this is the stuff we used. Sorry for the messy link. Control Solutions Inc - 82005202 - Martin's I. G. Regulator - Insect Growth Regulator Concentrate - 4oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0077UGOT2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_uSiOEbF2ZEZQN
I used this insect growth regulator in my apartment when my dog had some fleas. It will stop their life cycle.
To fully get rid of these suckers you'll need this:
This
and one of these:
Follow the instructions to a T.
It sounds like you have fleas in your home.
In order to treat the fleas you have to remove them from your home. It's a god awful process and does take time.
Here's a process: https://www.terminix.com/blog/diy/how-to-get-rid-of-fleas-in-the-house/
As for a spray to treat your home, get a gallon sprayer, one of these and one of these.
Follow the instructions EXACYLY as it states.
Also, flea comb for manual removal from your pet.
I bought a house with a severe infestation. It's hellish to get rid of.
I use a combination of Martin's IGR and Martin's Permethrin. I have a backyard where grass really doesn't grow, honestly not much really grows except for English ivy. So I spray the above combo as needed. It helps out tremendously with mosquito control.
